Any news on 360 camera and RWD production
I will probably be ordering a C300 RWD but so far my salesman can't give me any information on when they will begin building. His statement is that it will be first quarter.
I wonder if they have a front camera? Even my friend with a Toyota has that.
No fixed date or time frame was given.
There was no explanation given to them and they have a lot of unhappy customers, myself included.
Don't they realize that many of us have enjoyed this feature on other MB's and now they just won't let us have it. Once you have a new feature that is very helpful you don't want a car without it.

Most salesperson are wondering why its available in both the older E and GLK Classes and not the new C.

It sucks since I was really looking forward to the 360 system in my car
Despite the fact that the 360 degree camera system has been an option on the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 since day one, it seem that customers who opted for the rather cool thingamagig will not be getting it anymore.
According to the Mercedes-Benz Passion blog, vehicles which have a calculated delivery in 2014 will have the 360 degree camera option automatically deleted during the order, with the clients obviously not having to pay for it anymore.
On the other hand, if our Google-translated German is correct, it seems that cars that have a calculated delivery in early 2015 may actually be getting the option if it's ticked, while the rest of the customers are given the choice of ordering the Parking Package with front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera (EUR 1225.70 in Germany).
The main reason for the rather uncomfortable delay or delete of the 360 degree camera option seems to be the fact that the two exterior cameras situated inside the exterior mirrors are receiving an electromagnetic disturbance from the GPS module of the navigation system.
If this proves to be correct, as for the moment it is only speculation, it would mean that neither one of the dozens of pre-production C-Class W205 prototypes have used the combination of a navigation system and the 360 degree camera system, something which wouldn't make us think too highly of the testing procedures.
Story via MB Passion - This is a German Website so perhaps someone could verify the translation.
Maybe it's the built in GSM module.
It is a video in German around the 35second mark. This will give you an idea of why those who have it on their other MB's are not happy now that its a no longer available.
This vid also show the Airpanel in action around the 10min mark.
