The W204 C Class spare is a 125/90-R16. While it cleared my rear brake caliper, I could not get it on my front. Plus it is 24.9 inches, and my 18 inch tires are 26 inches. The 135/80-R17 is 25.5 inches.
So instead I bought a used Mercedes spare on Ebay, that is sized at 135/80-R17. It was from an 09-13 E class coupe. This is the same size as the stock W205 spare available overseas (but not in the USA), and it fits over my larger front caliper. (I have the Sports package, which I think has larger front calipers and cross drilled rotors than the non sport)

Did your spare fit when you tightened down the lugs or did you need to buy separate nuts?
Does the lug wrench you bought fit your lugs snug? I bought one from a w204 and it fits but its a bit loose.
I found the replacement part and the e coupe part on this website. I'm waiting to hear back if it includes the tire for either part. You have to search buy putting in the spacing like you mentioned in another thread.

Thanks for the help.

Rusty, thanks for posting all the info. I have ben trying to find a spare here in Virginia with no luck. Couple questions.
Did your spare fit when you tightened down the lugs or did you need to buy separate nuts?
Does the lug wrench you bought fit your lugs snug? I bought one from a w204 and it fits but its a bit loose.

The W204 tool kit is fine as well. AFAIK all MB lugnuts are 17mm.
I got my spare on Ebay. Checked every few days, and bought when car wrecker sites posted them. None available right now, but looks like there was one in early Oct and one in Nov

Regular lug nuts worked fine to tighten the spare for me

A number of car manufacturers also use a 135/80 R17 spare, so make sure you get a Mercedes one. BMWs are very similar, but have incorrect lug spacing

Gotta jump in on this. So now the trunk area that was hidden and not wasted by having a proper spare of some sort, is filled with a silly plastic dollar store collapsible tray and some reflective vests, should I feel overwhelmingly compelled to direct traffic if I get a flat- OR make people see me and thus drive into me because people tend to go where they are looking.... But I can take up 1/3 of my usable trunk floor space with this 300.00 dollar contraption of a tire in a bag and some used W204 jack and lug wrenches. This is a win for who??? We are all hunting around for which spare fits especially if you have the AMG front brakes. Ridiculous to have no spare.

Has anyone tried this spare?? 185 60 R17 5x112. If 135 80 R17 fits Sport package, this should also work.

I couldn't stand the ride on the Pirelli run-flats that came on my 2017 C300 base.... they are slippery, rough and very loud! So I swapped out to a set of Vredestein Quatrac 5 that a coworker had available but I need a spare tire since I have a long daily commute on isolated rural highways. The difference is like night and day. These Vredestein Quatrac 5’s offer a much better, smoother and QUIETER ride!!! So I ordered a spare tire/wheel today from eBay based on rustycruiser's comments #31, #46 and #55 in this thread. The eBay ad stated they were taken from a 2011 E350 Cabriolet. The pics of the wheel shows the part number is A2074000102. Tire size is 135/80R17. I'll report back on the fit as soon it arrives next week.

Never leave home without one.
I called Mercedes Road Side at 8:30pm and they couldn't find help until about 10:30pm. By that time I had already replaced the tire myself. (Luckily the wheel wasn't rust fused to the hub). That service has changed for the worst.

Was this the spare that you ended up using? I'm wondering if it would fit a c43 cabriolet... Many cracked rims and flats later, I'm thinking I need one for my safety!

I got the 2074000102 spare tire from ebay for $115 and ordered the MB jack kit. It saved me when i got a flat tire. I can confirm it fits the back of a w205 with no issue.

So the spare tire I ordered on eBay came in today and with much excitement, I quickly opened it, jacked the Benz and mounted it.... BINGO!!! It fits!!! Here are the pics as it was mounted. Once again, the wheel is 3.5 x 17 MB part #A2074000102 taken from a 2011 E350 Cabriolet W207. Tire size is 135/80R17. As you can see from the last pic, it clears the front brake calipers on my 2017 C300. Cost me $190, including shipping, on eBay (used, like new). No it doesn’t fit under the trunk cover, but giving up a little trunk room along with the cost of this spare tire is a small price to pay for peace of mind and a much, MUCH better ride AND get rid of those God-awful run-flats!

Oh, also a torque wrench at home. W205 requires only 96 lb-ft (130nm) torque for the lug bolts.

Spare Tire for 2017 C300 Sedan
[QUOTE=GreekUPS;7840049]
The car has staggered tires on factory 18-inch wheels. It’s not AMG or Sport Package, it’s a 2017 C300 sedan, base model.

Alexasa, everything I have read in MB World points to the OEM spare tire for the European market C300 w205 is size 135/80R17 on a 3.5 x 17 wheel (MB part #A2054000100). See comments #31, #46 and #55 in this thread. Since that OEM part is not sold in USA for the C300 and I am by no means a Benz tech, I had to hunt and search for the proper spare tire and wheel combo that would fit. I’ve not seen the sizes you quote mentioned in any threads. Good luck.

Is there any room left in trunk/boot when this spare is strapped in there? I realize from pics it is using up most of the space, but will a carry-on or other small luggage, duffel, etc lay on top or fit along side with trunk/boot deck closed?
In 3+ decades of driving all kinds of roads, I must admit I have only had one complete blow out requiring an immediate spare tire change, but I’m still very unnerved not having a spare for such a situation. I have also had dozens of slow leaks from nails, etc picked up on roads for which the run flats provide adequate protection in my city/suburban area, but I do occasionally get out in the country and do not want to be stranded waiting on a replacement tire. I also hate the idea of replacing an otherwise good tire just because a nail puncture occurred within the tread (and yes I have heard all the theories about repairing run flats IF they don’t have sidewall damage from running too flat for too long, but I don’t feel very comfortable making that call and most tire shops don’t either so they won’t make such a repair).
I will be changing to non RF tires, so I can continue to get otherwise good tires repaired as I have in the past before RF tires. I also expect improved ride, performance and mileage at a lower cost.
Thanks if any of you with spare in trunk/boot can either articulate or demonstrate with picture what might fit along side or on top of the spare while allowing the deck lid to close and latch.

I have the compact spare and the MB spare bag in my 2019 C300. They are same ones I used in my 2015 C300, I transferred them over to the 2019 when I traded in the 2015. I took the run-flats off of both cars. On the 2015 I waited a few thousand miles to reach the conclusion that the run-flats were awful. I took off the run-flats shortly after purchasing the 2019. I can assure you that even with the spare, 2 carry-on pieces of luggage will fit in the trunk with room for other stuff. Larger pieces of luggage will not fit.
