For me, sitting behind the wheel, it doesn't look like a Mercedes without the standing star. But that's just my personal opinion/preference. I don't know why Mercedes degardes its brand by making these changes. Yes, there are plenty of changes that can improve the car, but some traditional brand identifiers should not be changed especially when they are so iconic. Again, just my opinion.

Because pandering to the lowest common denominator sells more cars (in the short term)?

My wife uses the hood star as a reference point and is uncomfortable not having the star. It is one of the reasons she doesn't like our GLK 350.

When my father was teaching my mother to drive apparently she would tend to wander and my father would tell her to point the star to some point on the distance to keep her traveling straight.

Back then ('60s) the stars stood tall and proud.

Thanks for posting pocs! It's noticable. Also interesting you have Pirellis, most I've seen were on Contis. Had you tried the other 3 suspensions to compare before pulling the trigger on air?

I did drive a C300 with Sport package since they had a demo in. It felt more like sport mode in the c400 with airmatic. I am SOOOO glad I got the airmatic, the difference between driving in comfort vs sport + is night and day. Almost like driving 2 different cars. Especially living in the city I appreciate the comfort mode. But while the sport + may not be like driving an M3 suspension it is very good in my opinion.

Awesome car

I've ordered one similar yours!
Polar white,
Linden wood trim
Head up display
18" AMG wheels
Driver assistance package
Multimedia Package
Parktronic w/Active Parking Assist
Panorama Sunroof
Lighting Package

My dealer says it will be here near to christmas... I want to know how's the experience with fuel consumption? Is it easy to get 25mpg average?

Eh it's hard to say. I can drive it hard at times. Plus I'm half city half Highway and I'm averaging 20. If i listened up I can see 22 or 23

Mercedes c400
c400

Hey I too ordered a c400. And I was wondering if you guys have been hearing anything about tuning? I know brabus made a tune for the c200 in Europe. Do you guys think they will create one for the c400. I feel as if Jeremy Clarkson I want more power without spending all that money for a c63 lol.
