Hello Terry,
Im interested in your c300 stage 1 tune for the w205s. Couple concerns i have:
-i live in alberta canada, with harsh winters (-40 celcius) and hot summers (25-30 degrees celcius). How will my performance be effected with the climate? Generally the performance should increase in the colder temperatures, right? Im running 91 octane here.
-how easy is installation? Would i be required to mail my ecu to you, and you flash it and send it back? And how do you disinstall it?
- stock 0-60 is 6.1s, but you hit 5.3 tuned, correct?
you can email me also- sahajchopra@hotmail.com
Thanks

The install guide is on our website. You install it in your driveway. Takes 1-2 min on the C300.
Stage1 is an additive tune so power will not fluctuate much between warm and cold weather. The DME is already load based (varies boost target on intake temps) and the Stage1 just adds on top of that mapping.

Been considering the Renntech and the Kleemann tunes, but didn't think they were powerful enough.
So I'm super excited about PP Performance's new ECU tune. My buddy at AutoTalent in Carson just texted me that it's available for the 400 engines. Claims to be able to produce 425HP/413 Lb/Ft Torque!!
Have the part on order. Should be ready next week. Will report back with results

Will this work in the M276 DELA 30 3.0L TT engine in the CLS400? Those number are a huge jump from MB claim 329 whp with 354 ft/lb torque output. The C450 is the same engine that Mercedes tuning achieves 366 whp and 384 lb/ft pf torque. So a claim of 425HP/413 Lb/Ft is impressive for that engine.

ziptuning.be has some interesting figures for stage 1 tune, even for my c220. The shop is reputable from what I've read, and they operate in three countries.
Claimed numbers for the c400:
From 245 kw / 333 pk To 281 kw / 382 pk
From 480 Nm To 503 Nm
You should expect similar numbers from your local tuning shop.

This looks to be 393 HP/413 lb ft
My buddy said the ECU can be tuned even more to push it over to increase the HP by swapping out one of the stock intakes - but we'll see how it operates without any changes. Will report back

I don't mind losing a mile or 2 mpg but I certainly will not take a lumpy overboosted car.

I would worry about tunes that promise a huge increase. You can probably boost any of these turbos to an additional 100 hp, but you end up with a car that is miserable to drive and sucks gas wholesale. I bought a tune for my turbo ford pickup that made it a power monster. I kept it exactly for 3 days, the waste gate was being activated constantly, my fuel economy dropped 50%, in general it was useless as a day to day to day driver. Im sure that is why the 450 is only a little more than the 400 and the Renntech is just a little more than that. The whole idea is to keep the car within "normal" driving parameters. My ECU arrives tomorrow. So I'll have my impressions soon enough. I sincerily hope it doesn't change the overall demeanor of the car in comfort mode (which I use 90% of the time). If it becomes an overboost monster, it will be another week sitting in my garage till they reflash the car back and refund me my 2000 bucks.

The "deed" is done!
Previously with a G timer the car did 5.8 to 60 and the quarter in 13.3 and 107mph. With the Renntec tune its now 4.6 to 60 and............. drumroll please........... 12.9 at 112 mph quarter!!!
Driveability issues are exactly zero. You would never know there is anything different till around 3000 rpm where the additional torque is patently obvious and doesn't quit all the way to redline. The engine otherwise feels normal, no overboost wastegate whistles or whines just more power a lot more. Sorry but its doesn't spin its wheels despite all the additional torque 4matic doing its job. On the short time I've used it doesn't seem to have any significant effect on fuel economy still getting an indicated 27 mpg highway at a steady 80 mph. The tune is certainly not cheap, but its worth every penny!

That is a fair improvement in straight line time. Would like to hear the impact on your mpg over a larger period of time. If as you say no noticeable declined in mpg or daily performance the $2400 price tag may be worth it. My car is 800lb heavier and not a 4matic so not apples to apples, but it's good to see real numbers.
Given how the boost seems proportioned I dont expect much of an FE impact in normal driving, if you nail it regularly all bets are off.

Personally I would never get a C63 for that reason, no AWD available which makes it useless in areas where there is full time snow for 1/4 of the year or more.
BTW the more I drive it the more impressed I am with the Renntech tune. Noticeably increased power is always on tap, though most of the increased boost is from 3K up it doesn't feel "peaky" at all. The 276 engine is a natural "revver" so aside from more pull the engine doesn't feel different at all. Simply more urgent power exactly where power is in the non tuned engine. Fuel economy while driving in normal conditions has had no effect at all. This probably due to the fact that the 276 engine runs with little or no boost in normal driving conditions due to its torque characteristics. When driving in comfort mode the car rarely revs more than 2.5 K. BTW just a small tidbit of info. For best times, avoid torque braking, it seems counterproductive. Just set it on sport plus, stomp and go!
Spectacularly well done job
PS I do have one complaint: If you are not paying close attention you will fly by the OEM 130 mph limit in a heartbeat Keep in mind the OEM tire limits.

This is what I've been waiting to hear about. I live in an area where those speeds tend to come up often and quick.

Wonderful area to asses handling, endless miles of hilly curves. Beware of the cows and Amish buggies
