C300W4 with Sport Package, and 18 inch AMG 5 spoke rims. 28 inches at 3 corners, 27.75 at rear right. 2.5 inch gap top of tire to high point fender.
The car has 2K miles on it. And according to the data card, 485 (comfort running gear)

According to my calculations ( on paper ), the 19" wheels address the situation in the following way:
- top of the tire to fender - 30% better on 19" wheels than what you see on 18" setup
- top of the wheel to fender - close to the distance you see on the car equipped with sport suspension and 18" wheels.
questions are: are you ready to sacrifice some comfort ? are you ready to pay 200-3000$ to buy such a combo ?
in my case, choosing 485 suspension has been an assumed decision; I've discovered the situation before the car was built ( by my own reading ), so I could influence the situation. I've even seen and driven a car equipped with this suspension, same engine, etc and have been impressed by the ride quality.
the thing I wasn't able to foreseen was the impact the color will have on car's appearance: the test drive car was black while mine is iridium silver and the gap above the rear wheel appears to our eyes more pronounced on non-black colors

This is very confusing for US built cars since all the info states the sport-tuned suspension is part of the sport package. There is no stand-alone option to order different suspensions in the US so I don't understand how you would otherwise get it. Could this be another Alabama mix up...

So we have two different suspension setups showing up on C300s in the US that are all supposed to have "sports" suspension... its either a factory screw up which would be really bad or there is some other option that is causing the spring height to be swapped as well. If I had ordered the sports pak and got the 4x4 suspension I'd be marching the car right back to the dealer. the high suspension is a deal breaker for me on these cars.

I looked up the data card on my car and it did say 485 instead 486 even though going down the build list it listed:
P29 AMG LINE INTERIOR/AMG SPORTS PACKAGE INTERIOR
P31 AMG LINE EXTERIOR/AMG SPORTS PACKAGE EXTERIOR
So they should have installed the 486 option. I'll be going to the dealer on Monday, they're not too far from work and ask them to verify this.

As certain tires in the same dimensions could vary in size you should always measure the height from the centre of the wheel (Point of star) to the highest point in the wheel arch.

While K-MAC patented system is precise/accurate front (and also) rear “single wrench” ongoing adjustment on car (accurately under load)!
Kits replace the highest wearing front bushes (4) and the rear (4). The unique 2 axis design also allows twice the load bearing area! Improving brake and steering response.

Your car has the Comfort Running Gear SA code 485, it is not possible to have both 485 and 486

UPDATE - I called MB-USA about a month ago and lodged a complaint about the suspension (among a few other items). I dropped my car off at the dealer on Friday, May 8th and I still don't have an answer about what's going on. I'm getting fed up with this BS.

i hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction, this was precisely the reason why i refused my initial order because it was delivered with the 485 suspension. My replacement order is due to arrive in about 3 weeks.

That's not to say I am happy with the ride height because I definitely am not. I had already explored aftermarket springs but the Vogtlands (IMO) are too stiff. I'm hoping MB-USA or my dealer will do the right thing and put the proper suspension on the car. It's either that or get me out of the car and let me order one with Airmatic...that would make me very happy.
I'm not requesting anything special, just to get what I paid for.
