Ground to fender height

any photo of AMG exterior + standard suspension (485) + 19" wheels is appreciated + C300 or C250 bluetec 4 matic ...
thank you,
amo
swapped my 485 suspension on w205 exclusive to a 486/677 with avantgarde shocks and struts. Stock avantgarde suspension basically. Got the lowest 486/677 springs possible ( vary when considering weight).
I got the parts numbers if anybody is interested.
€1,600.00 is how much the swap parts cost.
Spring and dampers are typicall specced at factory based on:
Spec ie sports or comfort or other
Vehicle build model (mass related, engine, trans, fwd vs rwd, and build spec again mass related)
Market specific requirement (eg additional ride height for rough road pack)
The matrix for vehicle options vs suspension spec is large..
The number of permatations of damper and spring are often in the hundreds. The Assembly line build (ie combines) the specced damper and spring in accordance to the overall spec of the car ie a combination of the factors above... parts are sequenced to the suspensin assy line in the same sequence as the main line, the suspensions sus assy's are built to the manifest and sent to the main line and fitted to the car.. thats a typical manuf scenario.
IT IS POSSIBLE FOR:
The spec matrix and hence build manifest to have an error
For the suspension assy line to mis sequence parts with in a buil dset (ie one vehicles set)
For the suspension assy line delievry sequence to fall out of synch with the main line.. ie cars receieve the wrong suspsnsion packages en masse..
Usually these things are found at aay point inspection, pre set delivery inspection, main line pre fit inspection, end of trim line inspection, ne dof main line inspection at function.. the vheicle would be offlined and repaired..
BUT it can happen that despite all these measures a **** up gets external.. so its alays worth checking the vehicle build spec and the colour coding (paint stripes) on the springs to the correct factory spec.. if you are concerned that they may be incorrect.
Hope there was something useful within that..
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
