I second this topic as I plan on swapping out my 18" for the 19".
In comfort mode the ride quality is good. Your wife and kids would be comfortable. Sport+ mode is stiff but not uncomfortable. You will feel the potholes though.... I drive in a individual setting with sport plus suspension most of the time. When the wife is in the car i'm usually in comfort .....I will often also go to comfort mode when on an old road with potholes etc
I bypassed the 19 in for 2 main reasons, they don't offer significantly more performance, tires are much more expensive. Plus I like the 18 inch amg star pattern better. If you want the same wheel for summer and winter, 19 in winter tires are essentially impossible to find.

There are very few winter tire options for the 19 inch wheels. The only winter tires my dealer or I could find are the Pirelli Sottozero Serie II run flats. They look good and I haven't noticed any difference in ride or noise from the OEM summer tires.
So I finally got my 19's from Afflerbach! Got it installed and my car wrapped.
I took some side by side pictures of the different settings. I also modified the Individual with my guy who programmed the Individual to be a "Super Sports +" for suspension. Ride's extra harsh on that one though.

I guess I spent too many years in the plants.....seems well applied, but, to me, it looks like it got away after the E-Coat bath but before it reached the paint booth! I'd probably try to polish it!
When the car is switched off and parked does the suspension lower itself back down, even if it was just driven in 'comfort'? Or does the ride hight stay high, even when parked?

The 19's are great. They look amazing.
Very nice!
How did your "guy" program the Individual Sport+ to get it that low??

My feedback is that it's more rough even in comfort mode and you'll feel it more and you're more likely to bend rims and damage tires ...
I went from 18s on my e550 to 19s on my e63... The e550 was the perfect ride for sport luxury
On 18s
It is not more rough in comfort mode. It is very comfortable, almost floaty.
I don't think anyone can compare a regular Benz to an AMG as far as ride as there is lot more than rims that goes into the tuning of those special cars.
