Just wondered if anyone had used any of the remote online services yet? I've created my account online but it's saying my car has not been registered yet and I need to contact the dealer to register it.

My car is set up on the MB owner's web site. That's how I knew that my car was affected by the steering wheel and tire recalls.
I also am using MBrace, which can be accessed via any smart phone, iPad, or computer. Aside from its location, live assistance, and accident reporting services, it allows you to remotely send locations to your car's navigation system.

Yes, in the US we have the lock/unlock, tracking, travel log, etc. I haven't played with the apps in the car yet, but everything else seems to function fine.

When I first tried to set up my online account, the website said the VIN number for my car was not in their database yet. I bought it a day before.
There's an email link in the contact us page where I asked them to add my VIN number to their database. After getting a reply back I was able to complete the online registration.
The mbrace apps on the car had to be completed by the dealer. Used the info button in the car and Mercedes customer service rep said the information provided by the dealer was partially completed and to contact the dealer to make sure they finished everything on their end. After that, the apps in the car and the MBrace app on my phone worked.

How where you able to do that? I do not see any option to add a VIN, I just see a blank page, without any options on the vehicle tab ... (On Mac and iOS)

That is something else ... I have already been able to link the VIN to my account on mercedes.me ... but what I am (and you may be too) looking for, is my VIN connected to my connect.mercedes.me account, to allow me to see / use the remote online (http://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/merc.../connectivity/) services. I cannot do that yet:
(see; no car even though there is one in my mercedes.me account ....

You have to set up the remote services through the MBrace web site. If you have a car registered, you can access the remote functions and activate them online. The remote functions did not work on my iPhone or iPad until I activated them through the web site.
(The MBrace web site here is down for an upgrade until November 10th.)
This is for the USA setup ... I'm not sure if it's the same in other markets.

It's actually a mobile site, that looks great (but is useless if you cannot link your vin) on iOS Safari:

This thread coming back towards the top of the board has acted as a reminder for me.
- my update is I have heard nothing back from my dealer, I also sent a message to the connect me helpline listed on the website at the same time as asking my dealer - I have not even had an acknowledgement back from there.
I get the impression no-one in the UK at MB knows what to do with it to activate.

No answer on anything .... Even if you call them (we'll get back to you ....) ...
