New C Class - Base Suspension VS Sport Suspension!!
Hey guys,
Still trying to figure out which suspension would be the best fit for me.
All comments are welcome.
If you can maybe post the comfort level of each suspension and what kind of roads and what State?
Thanks!

There's 4 different suspensions, if search, they've been talked about on forum a lot. Honestly though, you should try each. Individual taste. The sport is pretty stiff, especially matched with 19's. Nice for a track, but not US roads..IMO.

I tried the Sport with 18's, the base with 17's, and the base with 18's. I wound up with the base and the 18" tires as a reasonable compromise.
I'm in northern NH, and the roads can get quite rough, especially in the winter. For me, the extra ground clearance and somewhat more suspension compliance were a plus.
I really like the look of the open pore Ash trim available on the Sport Package ... just wish that had been available on the non-sport models.
The only way you can make a rational choice is to drive both Sport and base suspensions. Then decide what's best for your driving style and your driving environment.

I'm in Philadelphia, PA and the sport suspension is OK over here. I travel on i95 from Philly to Wilmington daily (50miles one way through multiple construction sections) and the drive is comfortable to me. Locally I don't drive fast enough to be able to experience any discomforts.
It's much more comfortable than the base C250 Coupe that I just had the other day, and worlds more comfortable compared to the BMW M Roadster that I previously drove.

Base with 18" is what I have and I regret it. I love the car just don't feel stable at high speeds. It may have to do with how high the back end seems to be on this model. Test drive the car at highway speeds and do a quick lane change...yikes.

You mentioned this earlier, and I even went out and tried to duplicate the problem ... with no success, thankfully.

ah, this scares me because I really like he look of the 19"s with the sport package but I already find the 18"s on my sport W204 too harsh riding. Anyone have experience between these two?

I don't with the W204 but I can only ad that the newer generation RFT are much smoother and have a better ride quality. If I were to do it again I would go the 19"s with sport for sure. But take your time testing driving any new car, don't make the same mistake I have.
