Pictures and quick review of my C300 sport package
The car has sports package, p1, blind spot, multimedia and pano. The only options I wish I had gotten was the lighting package but dealers do not have them in stock. The next one up would be a fully loaded 56k car which is too much for a C300 imo (even with the discounts)
No mods planned for this one but I did black out the diffuser and front spoiler, what do you guys think?
Overall very happy with the car. Much more refined than the W204 series and seems better built than even the current E class. (no worries about being built in AL at all). Here are some things I liked and didnt like compared to my W204 (I have one standard one overseas and a C63 as well)
Like:
Build Quality- much higher quality than W204. That said there were some blemishes and imperfections in the wood finish.
Sound system is excellent. Best in class for sure and better than the HK system in E or CLS I think.
Engine has great power for daily driving. S+ mode is awesome with pops in the upshift.
Handling is much improved over the previous base W204
Much more spacious than the W204
Interior appointments in the sports package such as the stitched dash and door trim, the seats and the steering wheel. Leather dash was not even an option on the 204 C63!
Dont like:
Ride quality with the sports package- I was worried about this at first but decided I didnt like the looks of the car without the sports package so I went for it. The ride is pretty rough for a non AMG that I am never going to take to the track and I would have preferred a softer suspension. Wish they would offer the sports pack with comfort suspension lol. RFTs may have contributed to the hard ride.
Electric steering...pretty numb and I cant decide if I like the comfort steering or sports steering more. I prefer the feel of the hydraulic steering in the W204.
Air conditioning adjustment. Too complicated and takes too long to adjust through the command system. Would have preferred a knob like in the old cars.
other minor stuff like no number keypad and the stop start but overall no big deal breakers
I am sure I am missing something but if you have any questions about the car feel free to ask. Hope you enjoyed the picts and good luck with your cars!

How did you black out the spoiler and diffuser?
Nice car and excellent photography. I opted for the base suspension for the comfort, but went with the 18" tires for the lower profile. That combination has worked out well. I like the AMG styling touches and the interior treatment, but really wanted to stay with the standard suspension setup.
I had the spoiler and diffuser wrapped by Don Nguyen, he did a great job! I'm not sure how much I like the blacked out diffuser as its kind of hard to see now but the front lip does look alot better.

and yeah I regret getting the sports package a little because of the suspension but the interior and exterior enhancements were worth it to me. They should have made the sports suspension a stand alone option.
thank you! you will love it!
I didn't realize the S300 hybrid was coming to the US, do you have that on order?

I agree with you on the AC being a slight annoyance to adjust. Not that its difficult but its definitely a slower process than any car i've ever owned.
I had someone wrap it for me, but he did it with all the pieces on the car. And yep I thought the same since the car sits a little lower it would protect the scrapes as well. My C63 bumper is messed up from scraping haha
Nice pictures. Did you try either C300 or C400 with AIRMATIC before purchase? I wonder if ride quality would be significantly better with AIRMATIC and Sport package. One of the dedicated threads on AIRMATIC under W205, a poster said "with AIRMATIC you get the best of both worlds" I don't know how accurate this is because I haven't tried one with an AIRMATIC suspension.
Congrats, the wait must be killer!

If you asked me Id get rid if sixth too, they are both overdrive gears which means you can reach top speed on the other 5!!!!
Sport + is for

(On second thought, I changed my mind. All the comments about the new photos would overwhelm the "Official C-Class Picture Thread". Also, I myself wouldn't want comments about different vehicles mixed together. Please disregard my comment.)

Great looking 18" AMG wheels too ! I have the same wheels on my E250BT Sport.
As for your previous comment that the new C is better built than the E, I think this is wishful thinking. I closely compared the interior fit and finish of a new C400 with my previous 2013 E Class and found the latter to be a step above. For example, the E Class wood trims (either black ash or burl walnut) seem to be of a higher quality than either the Linden wood or open pore black ash found in the C Class. The C400 that I drove had the Linden trim, already looking tired after only 700 km.
I also compared the plastic edges of the door panel pockets and the glove box; again the E Class has a higher quality product with no rough edges.
The W205 certainly wins for its dash design, although I am not yet completely sold on the iPad like screen siting atop the dash.

C300, no such option (even with leather).
