Hi @vic_viper

i also use the S-class airbag like you. i had from the beginning sometimes a sound like "dong" when i turn the wheel slowly to left and then to right (when the car is still standing).
Now we have found (after changeing a lot of things) the the sound comes from the s-class airbag that fit not 100% (only 99%). when the engine is not running and you trie to move only the airbag to left and rigt you can feel the sound "dong" ... do you have the same issue ? i think it only needs some tapes somewhere

This is a known issue with any airbag unit, remove the bag and the back steel plate, then tape the edges using felt tape, also around the circular holes.

Do you have an internal MB issue number ????? its called "TIPs Number" i think
because the dealer here dont know about an issue with airbags like you discribe

another question:
there where you marked the red circles are screws normally....so dismount the metal steel plate... an then tape the marked holes ? right ?

I have removed mine and they are for sale if anyone is interested, unfortunately the button layout isnt the same for the CLS BR218.

Just remove the covers of the buttons and change the leds in them or put a amber drop of color on them or clearcoat.
