2015 C400
Need help buying...

Any advice much appreciated. I want to order a new 2015 C400. Is it possible to get a discount off sticker when you order one? How much discount can I expect to get? I am in the DFW north Texas area. Any recommendations on who to buy from?

Thanks.

US members have suggested that the C400 is no longer available for order awaiting C450. You need to confirm that.

Park Place in Dallas has a fine reputation. Had this when I lived there and seems to have maintained their high standards according to friends.

I'm in Southern California, Fletcher Jones of Ontario seems to have a nice selection of C400's in stock. Don't know if that would help you at all.

You can make your way from there

2015 C300 RWD
Plenty of C400 stock out there, especially considering how relatively few they built, and fewer coming. If need a C class asap, and has to be the 400, you're probably limited to what's on a dealers lot. C450 is just around the corner though. High hopes that it's closer to the C300 than the C400 is in agility/ride/handling, but with more speed/acceleration. The RWD C300 also hits the streets and reviews in a couple weeks, and will be interesting to see comparisons between it and AWD.

I bought a C300 last week for $5,770 off MSRP and $2,400 under Edmunds.com's invoice price. I've used carbuyingtips.com's (CBT) methodology w/ great results for every car I've purchased over the past 10 years.

If you're trading a car in, the first thing I'd do is take it to get it detailed, then go to CarMax to get a quote from them and keep it in your back pocket when you negotiate with the Benz dealer. The dealer will use that as his/her "cushion" when you're negotiating, so don't give out the # until the dealer tells you what he'll give you for your car. My dealer offered me $1k under CarMax's price, but matched it when I showed him.

Of the sites mentioned by CBT, I used the results from TrueCar.com. I created a standalone e-mail address so I don't get spammed to death with correspondence after the purchase. I put the info in on Sunday evening, got a call at 9:30am Monday morning, met the dealer at 1pm, had the car by 4pm.

I hope this info helps you. Good luck!
