Navigation Question

I have the Multimedia package with built-in navigation on my new C300. My iPhone connects perfectly with the car via Bluetooth, however I'm unable to pull addresses of contacts out to use them for navigation purposes.

Is this something the navigation can do?

If you have audio 20 & Garmin: No

If you have COMAND online: you may have an App that can receive address info on-line that you can use to sync your address book to .. (I do not have COMAND, so cannot test ...)

This may seem like an obvious question, but is all the address information on your phone's contact list?

Won't make a difference: it is there for mine, I can even see it on the MB (Audio 20) screens, but Garmin will not recognize or use it ...

Yes, it is. I can pull up contacts via the phone, they've got a home/work icon next each contact's #. That's why it's baffling to me I can't see home/work address info for contacts in navigation.

Try finding contacts through the navigation function, not the telephone address book function, and it should work. The odd thing for me is that I can navigate to my contacts but it is not recognizing their street address, only their city and state. I have an iPhone.

That's the problem I'm running into. It's very annoying. I must admit I'm very impressed with the voice recognition doing address entries, though.

15 C300 Sport SOLD!!! :)
There is an iPhone setting somewhere (in the Bluetooth menu?) that allows you to set what can be shared - like the most recent call info, contacts, etc. I found this out with my prior car, which couldn't handle the data volume from the iPhone and would drop a call as it tried to sync up; the fix was to limit what got sent to the car using those settings. Sorry I can't remember exactly where they are on the iPhone, but you may have them set not to share.

That setting is in the Bluetooth menu. Tap the small "I" with the circle around it and then select "share contacts". But I believe this is on by default so that may not resolve the issue. Also, when you are on that menu page turn on "show notifications" and then you will be able to listen to text messages (at least it works that way on my Lexus).

Is anyone with something other than an iPhone able to navigate to a contacts address using Command? I'm wondering if this is an MB issue or an iPhone specific issue.

How do you do that (on audio 20/Garmin)? I do not see to have that option... (or can't find it) ....

I don't know about audio 20 as I have Command. For Command, from the navigation section choose Destination > From Contacts.

This is really annoying that addresses aren't showing up. Hopefully there is an easy fix for this.

I have COMMAND w/ Multimedia package and I'm using an Android connected via BT in my 2015 C300.

I found this issue as well. If someone calls, it will pull up their name, however, it doesn't read any contact info from my phone. I've tried to manually download, but it doesn't work.

However, I don't use COMMAND to dial etc because it's easier just to grab my phone and/or use Google Voice command.

just my 2 cents.

I'm able to dial my phone by pressing the speaker button on the right-hand side of the steering wheel and saying, "Dial So-And-So". It pulls up the #s I have listed for them and asks which line I'd like to dial.

On the navigation front, I'm able to pull up contacts' addresses via the COMAND screen, however I haven't figured out the audio command to do this.
