Cool 10 must have items within 72 hours. Share your list!

A happy C250 user but am thinking about what to get for my car at the moment.

1. Cell phone holder - Strange enough. Can't find a perfect spot to place my iPhone. Leaving it inside coin holder now but I can see the screen
2. Dash cam - In every city we need this, front and rear. Installation and cabling are super easy for MB
3. Floor mat for rear trunk - Carpet is fragile. Easily leave a mark if you place anything on it
4. Hooks inside rear trunk - Holds my bags. Don't like those in the sides of the trunk
5. Hook for the front seat - Again, hold plastic bags behind the passenger seat
6. Car stickers - Make my C looks a lot younger. Will share photos later on
7. Coin case - Keep my coins quiet
8. Card holder - Strange again. Can't find place to organize my parking cards, gas station membership cards, etc.
9. Tire foam cleaner - For 48 hours 4 wheels are covering with brake dust
10. Can't think of it now

2015 C220 AMG Line Bluetech.
I'll add my thoughts, for what they are worth...

Couple of new ones, I'd do first...

A) Rear Boot Spoiler (colour matched).
B) Rubber mats.
C) New car protection at my Detailer

1. Cell phone holder - Strange enough. Can't find a perfect spot to place my iPhone. Leaving it inside coin holder now but I can see the screen. Nope, no need and dangerous distraction.
2. Dash cam - In every city we need this, front and rear. Installation and cabling are super easy for MB. Maybe, if I can make it look tidy.....
3. Floor mat for rear trunk - Carpet is fragile. Easily leave a mark if you place anything on it. Definately, a Rubber one, to prevent spills and stains.
4. Hooks inside rear trunk - Holds my bags. Don't like those in the sides of the trunk. Maybe, the side clips are too high up, IMO.
5. Hook for the front seat - Again, hold plastic bags behind the passenger seat. Nope, not for me. Bags can go into the rear footwell.
6. Car stickers - Make my C looks a lot younger. Will share photos later on - Really? I can't think of anything I would do!
7. Coin case - Keep my coins quiet ???
8. Card holder - Strange again. Can't find place to organize my parking cards, gas station membership cards, etc. - the clip on the upper side of the Sun Visor.
9. Tire foam cleaner - For 48 hours 4 wheels are covering with brake dust
- Agree

I'll just need a full tank of gas!

There is a thread about the illuminated star but it's a little unclear how the control module for North American cars works.

How much did they charge to add the illuminated star, later on?

The star only illuminates while the headlights are on. Locking/unlocking has no affect on the star...

Just about $900.00 ($580.00 for star + $290.00 install)...I think you can get the star on Amazon for $400.00...

Too bad from my perspective as I would prefer this version...
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post6154154

- After unlocking with the key; the Star will be illuminated for 40 seconds
- If any door is opened, the Star will stay illuminated for total of 5 minutes
- If doors are closed, the Star turns off
- If vehicle is started, the Star turns off
- After driving and parking, the Star will be illuminated for 60 seconds after the engine is switched off

Granted, I have spent 6 hours washing/detailing my SUV's. However, that was because I had 2 young kids and the vehicle had hidden little gems that required thorough cleanings.

like six hours of cleaning? Impressive! A friend steamed her new car thoroughly and the smell of the new leather seats were almost gone. I said to her it didn't smell new anymore and that really made her sad 😞

I will add that was over 5 years ago and some of the neighbors still make fun of me today - along with my wife. Some did ask me to clean their cars, though

Attaches in the trunk and you can place groceries or other items in it. You may have seen where you push down on it and it expands to put your items in and when items are removed then you push the button and it retracts up...it then you slides into the back area of the trunk...yeah I don't know I they came up with the name "comfort box"...but that's what its called.

Or get some some shields to keep the notorious Mercedes brake dust off your wheels. They don't end the dust, but they greatly reduce it on my front wheels. (I don't know if they are available for rear wheels. My W203 doesn't need shields on the rear wheels.) They were $90, less a discount for membership in the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. The manager of the shop said they had had only one case where the shields caused brake cooling problems. But the owner of that car was an animal, who got only 9,000 miles on brake pads!
True, the shields aren't great for appearance (at least mine aren't). But you have to rinse off all of the wheel cleaners I have seen. I park in a elderly housing complex where washing isn't easy, even in the summer. In the winter, the outside faucets are turned off, but you still get brake dust.
Or get some aftermarket pads that produce less dust. The ones I now have not only produce less dust, but the dust they produce is a light gray that doesn't show up much on my wheels.

I had to clay the roof...then I polished, sealed and waxed. There were some contaminates on the roof that didn't come off with just washing...

Speaking of which I have to add that MB black paint - the glossy wax - is extremely not scratches proofed. The black paint is hard but the glossy surface can leave a mark if not wished gently
