I think the Luxury package wheels are the most elegant of the offerings. My last low rider was long ago, that said, all W205 look little high to me, even in sport and airmatic, but meh, how smooth does it ride again with agile handling?! More important than the look. I'd go air either way and maybe lower it easily if that was important down the road. I'm probably in the minority on an enthusiast forum which attracts "sporty looking car" lovers the most, but they hit nail on head for me with classier style, wheels, all the fit and fish of higher end S in small package. Dozens of sporty cars I'd buy before this one in its sportiest versions...but to each their own.

The car looks good in any of its flavors, just that the upgraded wheels look so much better (opinion). Airmatic is just great for driving. As an added bonus, you can lower the car for (improved) looks as well, to show off sometimes.

and I think the most important thing is satisfied if the choice that you made, meets your needs and whether it be luxury or AMG or basic

I like all the trims and wheels for their own merits. None stand out as bad or exceptional to the others. How cool if the grill would change when the driver changed the agility select.

Anyone with a (USA) luxury model with distronic? If so, can you please post a photo of the grill and confirm if distronic cancels out the shutters in the grill? I have an order pending and need to confirm this. Thank you

The Distronic grill is shown in post #6.
You can't have Distronic & shutters.

There is no Distronic on that car.
See Distronic sensor panel at centre of grill here:

Thanks, all the photos that I have seen seen to have a European tag so I wanted to be sure. My dealer confirmed today I will have the grill as shown above. Boy am I happy, I am just stuck with the ugly multi-spoke rims

I would have been all over the luxury exterior trim under two conditions:
1.) The 19" wheels were available as a factory option and not an over $2,000 accessory...or any of the other 19" wheels for that matter.
2.) I could spec the AMG interior independent of the luxury exterior. Not being able to spec the open pore wood would be a deal breaker for me.
19" 6-spoke with with luxury grille

This is all possible if you order a car in Europe in MB Deutschland, however, the price will be about US $ 80K. Then you will need to adjust the car to the provisions in the USA ca. 5K

And that is why I will be content with my Sport grille, 19" multi-spoke wheels, and cranberry AMG w/ open pore wood interior

hmm.. you do realise that you are paying a lot less for your car over there in the US of A, compared to us in EU? But still you moan that you are not getting 19" for free..
I guess there is no pleasing some people.

Why is there no love for a small, luxury type car?
We just traded a 2006 GS 300 in on a 2015 C300. In my opinion there is no comparison. The C300 is superior in just about every aspect. The only thing the Lexus had better, in my op, was the owners manual. It's much more inclusive of what I as an owner am interested in. Probably because I do my own auto servicing.
