How is the open pore ash wood trim holding up?
How has the open pore wood trim been holding up for those that have it? I know with the gloss that it will hold up to wear and tear over time. So I am curious with the open pore trim
1) how has the trim held up to moisture? The door trim has to get wet whether it's Rain or snow? Is it warping at all?
2) the natural oils on your skin eventually leave marks (see your keyboard for example). How has it been with this trim?
3) has it scratched at all from dropping something on it?
4) Has extreme weather impacted the veneer at all (you see this happen on furniture all the time at corners and seems)? Any fading?
Love the look but I know with the linden wood gloss it will look just 5 years from now. The piano gloss is a dust magnet and scratches show easily as there is no underlying pattern from the wood veneer.
Thanks!

Ahh, I stand corrected then. That's the same as here. This is the trim I was talking about that we don't have. (Here shown with the deep sea blue/crystal grey interior...which we do have).

Interesting... the configurator doesn't seem to show that one, I wonder where its from. As the wheel is on the left (LHD) its not a UK/territories model.

The car maybe french or some other eu country. It is I think the luxury interior with matt frene or oak to all us english speakers. The seats are in artico dinamica which is artico or mbtex to our us members and dinamica fabric. Full artico or leather is not so popular here and at 2k euros for leather the reason is obvious!
Had leather in my eclass and it was not very attractive hard to believe it was leather, think artico is excellent but the troubles in the us are concerning.
Have artico tissu mix now in a glk and like it as it gives the best of both worlds, hard wearing edges but not feezing hot or cold seats in winter summer!
Have just ordered an s205 here in france with black interior in artico dinamica and frene trim, hate the shiny finishes myself just a preference for matt we all have different tastes. The piano black trim in the glk is not a lot but it is a dust magnet and scratches very very easily ie just dusting it leaves marks. It would be a nightmare in a large swathe I think. But just my opinion.
