Yup, will definitely be OK with it. And I did drive the M around the clock (no extreme snow being the exception) but honestly, what tired me after a couple of years was how high strung it was. Great car, suspension was actually brilliant but...the road isn't the track so I felt I just wasn't enjoying anywhere near its potential. And 1 or 2 days a year at Mosport or Watkins Glen was never enough but my wallet reminded me otherwise lol. As much as I'd love a C63, I really think the C450 is gonna hit the sweet spot as far as what I'm looking for. That plant in Alabama better get it's act straight though. If not, next stop.....Munich lol.

As long as the system on the 450 remains switchable. You want the comfort if you don't need things firmed up. South Africans want it switchable & we've been told it will come.

From what I have read (and googled nearly every day!) the car will be sharing the C63 suspension with some changes to suit the car more. And it will be switchable.

Unfortunately there are conflicting articles about when it will be released, both worldwide and in the UK. Some places say it's going to be available to order in a month, other places say cars will hit showrooms in June this year, others say summer 2016.

To say I'm confused is an massive understatement! I think I would want this car but I'm not prepared to wait 18 months for it.

Do you have any idea? An approximate & realistic timeframe would be good to know...

they would not have brought it out so early if its a 2016 summer rollout. i predict 2015 fall for most of the world.

if its a summer 2016 id have to suck it up and get the c400 now or 340i in fall.

I'm in the same boat but the only other petrol car in the UK is the C200, so if this doesn't come out until summer 2016 then I'll drop to the C200...

Any ideas of typical motor shor release to roll out?

Switched is good. Standard AMG setups are typically too harsh for my liking. I primarily buy a Benz for comfort, refinement & bank vault solidity.

I'm going to put out some feelers for an SA C450 launch date. Could take a few days.

MB would be smart to get the c450 to market prior to the 340i which starts production in July and will be in showrooms not too long after that. There are going to be a lot of people (myself included) cross shopping those two cars and first to market will win a chunk of them just by being first to market.

No one has to predict lol. It's in the 20 or 30 media write ups and the MB press release.

It depends where you are in the world. e.g the USA got W203 a year after ROW.

Fine ~ we are MBWorld & try to give market accurate information. We don't only cater for NA. We are the largest English speaking MB global board.
