Exactly why I bought a red one. Where I live, most Mercedes could be the subject of "Fifty Shades of Grey" except without the bondage. So a red or a blue one really stands out.

I'd have got black, but my Jaguar before it was black and I fancied a change, and a little less polishing.

I think that is a good choise too, especially if you choose grey interior.

My opinion is:
Blue is best with grey or black interior.
Red is best with beige or black interior.

I have brilliant blue, my brother has hiacynt red, for me the red one don't look so good ,

when it's sunny- the colour is pretty orange
and when it is cloudy - look like cherry

Very nice cars you have, you and your brother.

But the information you wrote about the W205 production is wrong.

The W205 is the first C class generation that will be produced in 4 continents:
In China, Beijing for Asian market.
In USA, Tuscaloosa/Alabama for American/Canada market.
In Germany, Bremen for Europe.
In South Africa, East London for Afrika,Europe and other markets if needed.

In Werk Bremen is the production at limit, there is more to come, not only W and S 205, for exemple the new X253 (GLC SUV), C205 (C-class Coupé), A205 (Cabriolet C class) and C253 (GLC Coupé).
Beacause of this it is very helpfull for Daimler to have the factory in South Africa, this factory will now help Werk Bremen to produce W205 for European costumers.
The reason is, the new C class has been very popular and there are many new Mercedes models to come now in near future.
In Stuttgart there will be no C class production.

I have a friend who works in Stuttgart in MB, both he and
the dealer told me that the end of class C production in Germany, for Europe production in southern Africa.

I I ordered the car a month earlier from my brother, my car was produced in Germany and his arrived from Africa. (I live 800 km from the factory in Bremen.
by the end of 2014 it was possible, but starting in January 2015 was not impossible to order a car from them

Apparently they are ending production because they want to focus on the new E-class model, and expect large orders for GLE, S, S coupe and the other much more expensive cars
