These should all be standard display options, as they are on virtually every other car.
I'd also like to see the speed limit displayed on the COMAND navigation system here ... a rather glaring omission.
Honestly the Open Door thing is just a weird MB thing. Even my W204 won't say a door is open until you start driving. This is annoying because if someone gets out the car and doesn't close it properly you won't know until you are driving away then you have to reach over and shut the door yourself. Also the same with the lack of volume bar/meter/number system. Just strange nuances of Mercedes I guess.
I'm so pissed off with the Audio20 media player, I had to share it with everyone.

And the position of the song title!? Half the time I can't see the full name, but the album name is just below the artist where the song should be.

That's not a graphic of your phone. It's showing you're using a device and which one you're using to stream music.
The forward back buttons let's you know you can use the control to move forward or backward via the control on your steering wheel.
And yes, if I stream music my screen via Comand looks pretty much the same. But it certainly doesn't annoy me.
Backup camera. Move the words "check entire surroundings" to a less important part of the screen. Right now, it appears right at the top which is where I need to see the most.
I just got my car back from service. My sub was going in and out, and they said they applied a software update. Unfortunately, same issue on the way home. Kinda peeved that they didn't test it thoroughly enough before releasing it. Guess I'll be taking it again next week. Ugh
On another note, there were some minor changes to the interface. Sound settings (far right) is now a speaker icon (found when you move the wheel down or up and the "devices, pause, etc.)" menu pops up. I also saw that there was an option when playing FM radio to only display HD stations, not sure if this was there before and I didn't remember it? I didnt get a chance to go through it all, i'll post if theres anything else new

These new options are on the 2016's as what you're referring to is what came standard on our 2016 C and GLC.
1. Android Auto (and CarPlay). Seriously, this would be one of the main reasons why I'm waiting for the 2016 MY, incase it's not just a software update
2. WiFi tethering to a cellphone for the apps, rather than just bluetooth
3. Ventilated leather seats option on the C300 in Canada (only the C400 has this option)
Have an option for me to disable that screen overlay when I switch between C/S/S+/I. It looks cool and nice the first 100 times but after a while it just gets annoying when its on the screen for 10 seconds and I'm trying to figure out which way the GPS wants me to turn.

Has anybody gotten around #2? I can't use MB Apps for nothing because it won't tether to my phone. I had a 2016 loaner and right at the start it asked if I would like to connect to my phone's hotspot.
A little late to the party, but this one makes me nuts.
They need to allow you to incrementally "back out" of a song playing on an iPod/iPhone, all the way to the artist list in the same spot in the alphabet. It is annoying if say you are listening to Rush and want to back up and switch to Pink Floyd or Shinedown but have to start at "A" all over again...especially while driving at highway/motorway speeds.
You cannot even switch to a different album from the same artist without starting at A! WTF?!?!
One of the things I miss about iDrive.
EDIT: Now that I look at it, I just realized I coincidentally selected an American, Canadian and English band and am a little embarrassed of the American band I posted with the two legends from Canada and England. Don't judge me!!!

I'm with you on the speed limit Stan. Seems like many manufacturers omit this handy info but any inexpensive Garmin includes it along with free traffic and map updates. Besides my C300, the speed limit is missing on my 2015 Harley, VW Touareg and Airstream Interstate. (on my Airstream, I use a 2nd GPS for navigation and it has the speed limits).
