Mercedes Key Covers

Hey Guys, I just saw these at the dealership the other day and I really wanted one. Does anyone have any experiences with these guys? Also What do you guys think about it in terms of looks etc. I think it adds a nice touch to the keys and also provides protection over time from wear and fading.

Lastly which color would you recommend?

I'm usually not a fan of making anything bulkier, especially the keys in my pocket but I like that black case. Any idea how much they were charging for something like that?

Yeah I know what you mean. Im the same way. I don't even put cases on my phones for that reason. But godaaammmnn that's a freakin holster for your keys lol..

MSRP is I think 96 bucks CAD here in Canada. But the guy I spoke to on the phone said he could give it to me for $80 If I am interested.

Ouch...too much IMHO for something like that!

Since I picked up an Orbit key for the rest of my keys, the FOB hasn't taken nearly the beating that it normally would with all my keys loose on a keychain.

I'll be getting a cover for mine because of the silly two press to turn off keyless go setup.

If you have red leathers then I would go for the red key case, otherwise black.

EDIT: $80 is pretty expensive. Have you looked at 3rd party ones from ebay? I got some good ones for my W204 key when I brought that. What does the keyless go fob look like?

Thanks for the picture. So it's basically the same as a w204 standard keyfob... I'm sure there are others out there for a fraction of the price. They may not look as great but it will do the same job. It's a cover that will face some abuse so personally I would not want to spend too much on it...

Amazon has the red version for $59.25 + $5.33 shipping. Cant really tell if the red matches the Cranberry leather because they show 3 different pictures with a different color in each picture.

That's probably in the states lol. In Canada that would probably convert to same thing. Currency difference x_x. I'm gonna head to the showroom tomorrow to see it. I'll try to take a picture for you.

I bought the red one for my gf. It was about $60 from the dealership if I remember correctly. The color is lighter and brighter than as shown in the picture above. It does add quite a bit of bulk to the key, but she likes it and just keeps the key in her purse/bag so it doesn't matter to her. I personally don't put anything on the key. that being said, it is pretty nice and leather feel is as expected. Can't take any pictures now since I'm out of state for the week and she didn't bring car keys.

I would go with red.
1. I really like red
2. Much, much easier to find your keys. Black just disappears into some sort of abyss of lost things.

I asked for a picture of the keyfob - I think those pictures are for me.

I ask because I got a keycover for the w204 key which I really liked so I can see if I can get something similar again - the keys look identical across w204 & w205.

I was expecting something different for the keyless go tech. I've never had keyless go in any car before hence this assumption.
