If we're all going to be comparing insurance rates now, I'll chime in as well haha...
I live in Toronto, ON which is definitely one of the more expensive cities to insure your car in Canada...
I just talked to my insurance broker and when I pick up my 450 at the beginning of April, my insurance will be $2339 (as opposed to $1900 I'm paying now for my Toyota Camry) not that much more in the grand scheme of things... I was surprised actually it wasn't even more.

Yeah, my insurance went up by about $100 compared to what it was for my E-Coupe. Any car in this weight class with this 6-cylinder engine and a $60k+ sticker price will have pretty similar insurance rates.

quick question. i just pickup my new car 2 days ago. the back left door wont open from inside, is it supposed to be this way? the back right door open fine from inside.
also how does steer assist and lane tracking works? i tested it on local street, it' not working, it' not following the lane or feel like steer assist is doing anything.

Picked up my C450 this morning (in a rainstorm). She's a beauty.
First impressions: Very tight and solid car. Very little NVH (Noise, vibration and harshness), except for the exhaust note, which is desirable IMO. Very windy and ****ty day today and I noticed no wind noise...
The car is very peppy and the transmission shifts nice and fast. Haven't pushed it much due to break in period. Can't wait.
Burmester sounds incredible. Soundstaging is fantastic.
Back up camera is extremely clear and bright - best I've seen.
Mine was delivered with Continental tires (with the 19" AMG 5-split spoke wheels). I was expecting Pirelli P-Zero's. Not sure which ones are best but it is what it is.
Artico/Dinamic seats are much nicer than expected. No regrets at all!
Looking for an excuse to go for a drive - I think we're out of milk!

Congrats man! Reading about everyone getting their 450's is making it hard for me to wait until April! Would love to see some pics of your car.
And as we're both in Canada, I'm curious now to know which tires might be coming on mine... does anyone here know if there's any BIG difference between the Pirellis and the Continentals?

Random little thing I noticed yesterday on MB Canada's website:
The interior dash Aluminum/Piano Black Lacquer Trim that comes standard on the C300/450 (unless otherwise specified), which used to be identical between the 300 and the 450, now has the analog clock standard on it on the 450. You can see the differences below.

Just picked up my C450 in Iridium Silver with Cranberry interior. Not a special order, just picked it up off the dealer's lot. I wasn't sure about the cranberry interior initially. But, I like it more and more as it's a rather dark red and not nearly as obnoxious as some red interiors (like BMW's coral red). It's much more subdued and classy.
I was primarily cross shopping this car with the BMW 340i. I've had several BMW's in recent years though (550i, 335i, 328i). Compared to the 340, I found the C450 to have a nicer , more well finished interior. Also, while the speed and handling are great on the C450 (as in the BMW), I felt that the ride was much smoother and quiet in the C450, when in comfort mode.
So, anyway, very happy with my purchase and now just trying to restrain myself during the break in period :-)

Iridium Silver
Cranberry leather
Black Ash Wood trim
Rearview Camera
Panorama Sunroof
LED Headlights
Burmeister Surround Sound (A must have!)

Multimedia Package
Hands free access

Some pics of my new whip. Still a few mods I need to make. I have a set of gloss black rear flics (AMG add-on) on order, and I'm considering also wrapping the chrome trunk lid piece in gloss black, but man, I love this car.

Nice, where did you get the vent inserts that are red?

Have you thought about doing gloss black on the lower rocker panel inserts? The AMG parts do a piece in gloss black on the side skirts that I think looks a bit overkill, but the black breaks up the side nicely IMO. I can't wait to see what the flics look like installed. Good luck.
