I'm in oakland ca, maybe that's why insurance is so expensive. everyone know Oakland is bad but I live in a good area. haha
I raised deductible to 1000$ on comp and collision, it brings down to 2500$ a year.

That has NOTHING to do with first and third party cover.

Before I moved to PA I was rear end-end by two semis at a red light and am currently in a big lawsuit against the driver of the truck that caused the 3 car accident (who also hit and ran), me being the first car. Boy, am I glad I can sue for pain and suffering and I would want the same right to do so here in PA, except that they require a separate option for that. If I chose no Tort I believe the insurance will be about $1550/yr full coverage and $1000 deductible

Hmmm.. you guys must live in high-risk or generally expensive markets. I pay $1900yr total for insurance on 2 vehicles. I have comp and collision on both and medical/liability of $500k/1M or something close to that. I know my caps are 3-4 times the min requirements.
Once the C450 gets on the policy, I'll update if my rates increase.

Hey guys...just completed my muffler delete this morning. Replaced the mufflers with straight pipes and left the resonator in. It's pretty loud. Have the vivid racing tune Juicebox going in tomorrow. Check out the YouTube video if you want to hear what it sounds like. For $100 it's pretty darn good. It's pretty loud when under throttle on the freeway but I think I can live with it. Other option is to install two resonators where the mufflers were if I think it's too loud. I'll keep you posted. What are your thoughts?

Picking mine up tomorrow - what do you guys think of the First Class Lease Protection?
They want $1415 CAD for it (I'm in Canada), but there is a $725 credit from MB Financial against it. Leaves me with $690 to pay. Anybody have any success bringing that cost down? I'm guessing the dealer's cost is probably $6-700 on this and the credit is not coming out of their pocket...
Is Mercedes (Canada specifically) particularly nasty on lease return? I've lease returned 2 Acura's without any problems or charges in the past - I take care of my vehicles. Would love opinions!

Congrats! I'm picking mine up this Saturday (Canada as well). I ended up using the $750 credit on the prepaid maintenance over 3 years. I know how expensive Mercedes can get with service, so I saved a bit there. I wasn't told of any First Class Lease Protection, but $1415 seems about right. I think it's only worth it if you're doing a lot of driving, otherwise I'd rather allocate the $750 towards the maintenance.

Yes, they definitely used my credit towards the maintenance package. I'm assuming with any dealer, there's some flexibility in how they're able to apply these promotional credits. The only protection plan they offered me was the Tire and Rim protection, which was around $1400? I turned that down as well. I don't anticipate doing a ton of driving with this car- just to work everyday and to the golf course once the weather warms up.

Yes the burps, pops and crackles are still very apparent, actually much louder now. The drone is somewhat of an issue and I will be experimenting with resonators to see if that is something that can be fixed.
