I actually have some goods news today. My sales rep called me and left me a VM indicating "the car is real close" and wanted to discuss purchase or lease options. He closed by saying the "car is coming soon."

I will speak to him on Monday and get the scoop. I will keep y'all posted. Hopefully I will have a VIN, completion date, and/or delivery date. I hope my negotiating skills are up to snuff.

I ordered my C450 today! Polar white, red cranberry leather interior, premium package, open pore wood, 19inc wheels, HUD, active LED. MSRP CDN$66,340.00, agreed price CDN$63,990 after a $2300 discount. If there's anyone in western Canada looking for a similar deal, let me know, my sales guy was very cool.

Congrats on the C450 purchase. I don't think you can go wrong with any interior/exterior combination since it is a great looking car whatever combinations you choose.


The 19" are run flat tires or technically MOE (Mercedes Original Extended) tires. I think with most of the threads with most of us Northerner's plan on swapping-out the tires in the winter for regular snow tires. I hope I can put a spar tire and rim in the trunk or I will look at another option.

Autopal, I was so stoked to see your post as I was really worried about how these were going to be priced here in Canada. Also very encouraging to see that you were able to get a discount on a brand new model. I'm in Calgary. Any chance you are too? If so, which dealer did you go through to get that price? Also, does that include the pre-delivery inspection/freight/taxes, etc? Or is the price you quoted before all of that?

I'm hoping that all of the late August/early September builds go to B5 today (or this past weekend) and they get released in a day or two so that they start showing up at some of the dealers by the end of the week or early next week.

Well I have amazingly good news. My vehicle is in-transit and is expected to arrive in 5-7 days at the dealer. I have the VIN number and looking at financing options. What I have been told this car will not lease well and there are no current programs available through M-B . It is a good thing that I want to purchase the vehicle.

I did not do so well with pricing. I am receiving a ~3% discount and $595 disposition fee waived to end my lease so essentially I am receiving a ~4% discount.

Hopefully some live pics very soon.

It looks like just about all of the B4's from Friday, went to D4 ("READY TO DELIVER").

I have been planning to buy, but I wanted to work out all of the numbers (buying and leasing) to see where everything falls. I'll have to start that discussion to see if I am getting the same info as you.

After going to the local BMW dealer to have have my "lease-end" inspection performed, I visited the MB dealer up the road to find out if the C450 residual rates were in.

I was informed that the lease residual rates for the C450 will be available tomorrow, September 1st. I'll post the numbers as soon as I receive them.

Thanks! I saw your build a few pages back and the designo interior looks stunning.

I'm a bit annoyed that interior package is $2880 on the C450 versus $2300 on the C400... yet the C400 included seat ventilation and power passenger seat with memory (already std on C450) for that price. My salesman couldn't explain it.

I'm not sure if I'll lease or buy yet, though I've already negotiated no markups on the lease terms with my salesman. Hoping we get programs tomorrow.

The Interior Package definitely had vented seats when it was put into the system.

I am really curious now to see if the VIN shows vented seats. I'll check tomorrow and see what the VIN says.

Isn't the 319 Lightning Package $800 ??? That's what the order guide has.

It's odd - on the German configurator you can order heated or heated and ventilated on the C450's regular leather interior, so the combo is offered. It doesn't make sense why MBUSA wouldn't package it on the C450 when they did on the C400 (and then charge MORE), but who knows. I'm curious to see what you find!

Yeah, it actually went up from $650 to $800... One of my first builds had it at $650 also:



It was changed like a day or two after the base price was set, so most people didn't even notice.
