I was very spoiled with my current C300 lease: 24 month 15,000 miles, 68% residual, .0011 MF. I was hoping to come close to that with the C450 but realize that was very wishful thinking on my part.

Money factor is another way of expressing interest rate of a lease. To get the equivalent APR you just multiply by 2,400. So .00240 is same as 5.76% APR.

I know what interest rate and residuals are, but what is money factor?

I as well looked over all the ordering options and can confirm that vented seats is no longer a option in the new 317 package.
So the new P02 Premium 2 Package will increase from $1,520 to $3,040? If so, is anything else being added the p02 package beyond the 810:Burmester® Surround Sound System? If not this system better rock the house!

I think the P2 package ($1520) is being added to 3rd quarter September builds that do not already have it (as opposed to a price change).

Thanks for splaining that! Old Ricky was very confused and trying to see how M-B could justify doubling the price. The package only costs $2,120 on a 2015 C300 and includes Keyless Go and LED Headlamps that are already standard on the C450.

From your earlier post, your seats better be amazing. I am sure they are full leather and softer than a baby's butt. I was going to select them but the white leather door opening persuaded me stick with the black leather. I may have to take a road trip across the state to see your vehicle.

We may not have official pricing but M-B better get their act together since my vehicle is supposed to arrive at the dealer on or before Labor Day. I may well receive the car before the C450 build is on the MB website.

Thanks for the pictures Vipershade. My seats are listed as AMG Leather Seats, so maybe they are the same as your picture but not Designo. Checking with dealer today. I'm in Canada, so I think some of our option pkgs and stand alone options are different than in the USA.

Roger that! I spent so much time at my dealer (between a C63S Edition1, CLS63S, and S63), that people were starting to think that I worked there.

I'm with ya brother... I was thinking with yours in route to the dealer, I'll need to take a trek east!

You certainly have a sweet assortment of scooters.

If the sales rep is accurate I plan on picking the car next Friday 9/11 after a Thursday evening Philly concert (Mike Peters of the Alarm). I did not plan on driving a brand the new vehicle in a marginal area of Philly. Actually of of downtown Philly is kinda of marginal

Sorry, I should have added some context to that... I bounced between those three cars at the dealership because each one had one of the features that I was trying to figure out if I wanted to order it. Between the designo interior, performance seats, AMG steering wheel, and AMG hud, I had to bounce around between those three to checkout each option.

Are there ways to get this money factor down? MSD's? Single pay lease (I am aware of the risk factors of this)?

I like it.

Here is a section from the C-Class head-up display bulletin:

(The C450 shares the same extra features as the C63, btw).

If the information stays consistent, such as the vehicle speed, posted speed limits, navigation instructions, and DISTRONIC messages. If we can count on that information... then I think it is ultimately going to be a feature that I always use on the C450 and find myself looking for on my ML350 (which doesn't have it).

If the information is only available some times, meaning speed limit and navigation info comes and goes (like the old nav systems that you couldn't always count on), then it will turn into more of a novelty. IMHO.

correct viper . all the other options are now standard on the c450 and that is why p2 package only comes with the sound system for $1520. I wish they made the 360 camera a must for 3rd decade builds instead of the sound system.

On a side note we got the new gle450amg in and if the exhaust notes are the same you will all be very pleased when it is in sport plus. very similar style to the c63 as far as when it down shifts you can hear the notes along with the backfire sounds.

I second that with the 360 camera. Last I heard the camera would not be available until January 2016 at the earliest.

I saw my first televised GLE commercial today. Nice vehicle but I am glad that I have a C450 on it's way. Any chance you can provide any additional details on VIN#55SWF6EB3GU104174. Last I heard it was headed to Princeton, NJ with an ETA of 9/5-9/7. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

On another note, those lease rates are atrocious. I'm debating canceling my order, or maybe I'll just buy the car. It is expected to arrive by the 20th.

Jay, U Dah Man! You just saved me $830 now I don't feel so bad on the modest cash discount off MSRP (~4%). $2,880 for the interior package was way over-priced but I definitely wanted the ambient lighting and the illuminated door sills.

At the moment there really is only one finance option and that is purchase the vehicle. Thanks for the great news with the interior and night packages. See what you can do with dropping the premium 2 package retail price. I think that is about $500 over priced.

Jay, don't take a bath on a lease. Just purchase the car and be done with it.

As my signature indicates, we're getting a fully loaded C300 (sans 4matic and air suspension, but everything else) and a fully loaded GLA250. I've taken a home equity loan and will pay cash for both cars, and have a low payment, which I can double or triple each month to pay it off quickly. And I'll get to deduct the interest, which is an added bonus.

There is another option to buying cash outright. A one-payment lease. You only pay the lease rates for a month and they are lower than a 36 month lease. You still get one of the main advantages of a lease which is to return the car at a predetermined price without the hassle of selling it. Also, no worry about diminished value if you are in an accident and the car is properly repaired.

Of course you still have to live with the "low" residuals. Sometimes car makers will pump up residuals to induce you to buy a particular model, but my guess in this case is they reflect what the C-450 market will be in three years. This all assumes you were going to buy outright as an alternative to leasing.
