So I found one at my local dealer...it has linden wood instead of the black ash, which I prefer, but they're making me a good offer so I'll live. But now's the real question -- SO's only demand is that I get a car that can have 2 car seats (just in case our SUV has an issue). Anyone have experience with that in this car? Thanks!

Yeah that's what I figured...it's a 2016 RDX and the dealership is right next to the Mercerdes dealer (and both are owned by the same people). So I'm not too worried. But I'm still headed back to MB this afternoon to test the child seats in the sedan. And the stroller in the trunk. The things we do for speed...

So now I'm torn...
My preference is for Selenite Grey with Cranberry leather and black ash trim. I'd take it with Premium 3 and a few other minor features. The dealer has Iridium Silver with black leather and linden wood trim, but it has Premium 4...dealer is offering the silver with P4 for the same price that the one I want (with P3) would cost. And I can have it now instead of in 3 months. This would be for a 36 month lease. Can't decide what to do. Any thoughts?

No you're right, the ILS and surround camera are part of the p4 and parktronic...wouldn't get those with just the p3. The silver has other cool touches I wouldn't normally get, like the carbon rearviews and spoiler, all for the same price as the p3... But still, I don't know if I'm going to get annoyed having to look at Linden wood on black leather for 3 years instead of the Cranberry and ash I want.

Heres a thread with a DIY if you don't want to pay someone to do it: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w205/597089-my-guide-wrap-your-centre-trim-console.html
Here are some examples Of light silver CF and dark CF::

Man I would not mind the dark carbon fiber one bit; but honestly, I think the open pore ash looks the best out of all the options available for this car. EVERYONE [BMW/AUDI/etc] does carbon, but the ash is finally something really aggressive, classy, sporty, and original all rolled in one.

$3,250 for:
223 – DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist
237 – Active Blind Spot Assist (replaces (234) Blind Spot Assist)
238 – Active Lane Keeping Assist
253 – PRE-SAFE PLUS Rear-End Collision Protection
268 – BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist
540 – Power Rear-Window Sunshade
P21 – AIR BALANCE
642 – Dynamic LED Headlamps
608 – Intelligent Highbeam Control
Seems a little rude to me. If it included Surround View, then it would be a no-brainer.

You guys lost me... The dealer (Linden wood) car has P4 and the Parking Assist Package, or just P4? (Surround View (aka 360 camera) comes as part of the Parking Assist Package).

Also, in going back through the last few posts, I think I misunderstood the reference to "ILS." That is, in fact, included in P03. I thought mo11 meant the intelligent headlights, which is only in P04.

Damn, it sounds like the dealer's car is loaded to the teeth.
Disregarding the waiting period for a second, are you sure that you can't get more off on your build to put these two cars a little closer in price?

Definitely not silly... I would be the last person to jump on something (specially an interior) that I didn't want 100%.

I could possibly get a little closer in price, but the reality is that the dealer wants to move this car now to up his number before the year ends. So he's willing to discount the dealer car a LOT. Yes, it is loaded to the teeth. The only things it's missing are 19" wheels (a liability in the NE in the winter), performance seats (impossible for me since child seat won't fit behind them), and THE BLACK ASH TRIM I WANT! But everything else is pretty awesome. I'm leaning towards just getting it. It's hard to pass up all the features just for trim, especially since I'm not buying it, and if I really hate it I can probably trade it in before 3 years.

Selenite/Cranberry/Black Ash is in my opinion a much nicer combination .You will be annoyed with yourself every time you get in car if you change . Waiting 3 months and getting gadgets you don't really want is no big deal . Just wait - you'll be happy !

That was my thought process going in. But knowing that I'm paying a lot more for those options down the road is somewhat of a turn off also. I'm going to stop in the dealer today to build it out and see what kind of offer they make, and we'll see where we end up.

Yeah well, the interior of your car is SICK. My kids would destroy white leather in about five minutes tho...

Yes, ILS (intelligent lighting system) is on p4, the p3 just has LED headlights.
Also, isn't there a black ash vinyl wrap? I know i saw it somewhere. I think they use the same wrap for speaker boxes.
I just feel bad that you'd lose all those features. So, if there's a way you can get the trims wrapped and have the p4 and 360* camera features at a discount it'll be a win win for you...

Nice! Congrats.
You'll have so much fun driving this car, you won't care if just a couple things aren't exactly your way. No matter how it's spec'd, it's still going to be a premium car through and through.
