C450 AMG Sport
Thanks for the comments. Very happy with the car after a long drive to Italy in poor weather. This was my first new car in 5 years and the thing that strikes you is the leap in technology. Not to so much to do with the C450, just the new MB features. For the first time ever, I've brought in the owners manual for bedtime reading! And I'm quite used to and happy with technology.
The main new feature I tried out is the Driver Assistance Package. Having not had something similar before, you need some time to build confidence in how it works. But you can see how driverless cars could soon become a reality. Driving on a highway is so easy, you hardly have to do anything, although you are reminded to keep your hands on the wheel, as I noticed when I was testing it out.
Given that it was a new car and poor weather, I didn't push it much, but it's clear there's plenty of power there. I'll report back more at a later date.
Hope you all get yours soon on the other side of the pond!

Thanks for the C450 feedback. Enjoy your trip to Italy and hopefully the weather will cooperate with the remainder of your stay.
We'll keep you posted on the western side of the pond. Evidently Tuscaloosa does not quite have it together as much as Stuttgart.

Spoke to my dealer on Wednesday when the cars were officially released. Car is currently in release to carrier status (D5). He sent me pictures and videos of the C450 and C63S. The C450 exhaust sounds very good but compared to the C63S it does not compare. Those two cars are in two different classes.
Dealer told me to expect my car early next week - about time considering I have been waiting for this car since June.

Yep... That's a steal... If you are ordering in Canada, the performance steering wheel is a must have for that price. Honestly, I liked it a lot better than the sport wheel, and even a lot better than the C63S Edition 1 performance wheel.

AMG Carbon Fibre Trim $1500 (instead of $1300)
AMG Silver Fiber Glass Trim $2100 (instead of $1300)
Head Up Display $1500 (instead of $990)
Air Balance $500 (instead of $350)
Paint additional charge $890 (instead of $720)
I have no idea what the deal is with the 19" wheels... two are $500 and two are $1000 (but it's not based on the color )

Availability depends on what market you're in. In the US that is not available at all from the factory. In EU/other markets I believe rear dark tinted glass is part of the optional Night Package.

I'm trying to put my order in and was wondering is the "Air Balance Package" really worth it-$500CAD plus $114.60 for refill and "Head-Up Display"-$1500.00CAD.
Just want your thoughts before i regret it for life.

I was at the dealer this morning putting in an order for the C450 and they didn't have any in stock but have two that are due to arrive any day.
I ordered mine with the HUD but not the Air Balance Pkg because I think it takes up too much room in the glove box but I could be wrong. My order won't start building until December 11th so it allows me time to see the first arrivals and my dealer is going to let me test drive any models that have the HUD to make sure I can't live without it, as well as test other features. Keep that in mind and you can probably do the same thing.

Are you from US or Canada and what are the options/packages you pick out?

You want it so you can pay more attention to the road without having to refocus your eyes on the dashboard. It's a way to reduce the possibility of an accident and that's important to me. Unfortunately, the MB HUD doesn't put everything that it should on the display. One is radio station/multimedia information and the other is speed limit. I'm not sure about speed limit, but I have yet to hear from an owner that says it's on there in the North American vehicles and the CA's give me mixed answers. Even though it's not as complete as the one on my BMW, I will buy it for my C450.

I'll comment on the HUD. I have one on my 2015 BMW X5 and I'd never buy a car without one as long as I could afford it. Do you need to drive the car? Of course not. Will you regret it for life. I doubt it unless you get in an accident that would have been avoided with the HUD.
