I am not aware of any at US dealerships that have a C450. A gent from Switzerland picked-up a stock estate vehicle about a month ago and a gent with a special order C450 from Switzerland picked one up yesterday. I don't think anyone in North America has their hands on one.

They keep telling us any day now

Hello Everyone!

Today I finally put a deposit down and placed my order for a 2016 C450. Coming from a Subaru, my wishlist of options wasn't super carried away.

Landed about a 4.5% discount and was told I have a build slot the 2nd week of December. Can't wait! I hope to be able to contribute to this forum/thread going forward.

Congrats on the C450 purchase. No matter how few or many options were ordered, I think you are going to enjoy driving it.

Hopefully we can provide useful feedback if we ever see one. M-B has been threatening to deliver a car for 3 weeks. So far, zilch and the big goose egg.

By chance, how are you guys negotiating any discounts on the C450 order. My guy said that there may be dealer incentives that they can pass along if available but with the car being new he doesn't believe any discounts can be given.

It is pretty slim pickin's regarding the discount negotiations on the C450. It seems that most discounts discussed in the thread are in the 3% - 5% range. I received a 3% discounts and they waved the $595 leased vehicle turn-in fee so I essentially have a 4% discount.

Your "guy" is doing his best to get you to believe you can't get a discount. And if you let him convince you of that, he's done the best job for the dealership and himself. Don't let him do that. While the discounts are not likely going to be significant, you should be able to negotiate a discount as others have done.

I thought that would be the case. It'll be a few months til I take delivery so I'll keep looking for other's successful discounts given to them to help with my bargaining. Would it matter or benefit me to wait to discuss any discounts til delivery or get them to put it in writing now?

BTW, do dealerships share information on potential customers? Would it be frowned upon to approach the other 2 dealerships in the city to compete for my build?

i would think the sooner the better to negotiate a discount. Do you have a deposit holding a special order build? If not, you could walk away and negotiate at another dealership.

I thought I would beat ~4% being that this is my 4th Mercedes (E350, SLK350, GLK350) and I have very close friends that between the husband and wife have also ordered 7 cars from the sales rep (11 vehicles in aggregate).

I work at a dealer in Hawaii and I can tell you as a MBWorld member that your dealer wont truly know what kind of incentives he can get until the month of your pick up date, so if your car wont be ready for 4 months he really is shooting in the dark. Being a new car with a wait list the factory will give us very limited rebates vs a regular c300 that your local dealer probably has 100 in stock and is willing to blow out. Then again.. each dealer is different. My best advice if you have a order and have not negotiated your price, wait till the last 2 days of the month.. **hint hint** If they need to sell one more car to reach their goal u can be sure they gonna do what it takes.

I rc'd what amounts to a six percent discount off msrp. My dealer says it's $500 over invoice, which I doubt, but the savings is around $2950. Considering it's a brand new model not even released, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure it depends on the dealer, the salesperson, and the sales manager, but yes, discounts are out there. I'm not expecting incentives. Good luck on your negotiations!

The residual rates are horrible. At the present time it makes no sense to lease. If you want to lease the vehicle, maybe they will increase over time.

Yesterday I had an appointment with my MB dealer and when I show up he had the C450 waiting for me in the front of the dealer. I was so surprised and lucky to be the first customer to test drive the car and man it was awesome.

Has anyone order/bought there C450 without the "INTELLIGENT DRIVE PACKAGE"? I was in the test drive, he show me all those and in my mind I don't really be going to use any of it. I rather do it myself.

To be honest it was okay. I thought it was a little low compare to the CLA45 and GLA45. I would like it to be louder or could be the engine hasn't broken in yet.

Also my thoughts about the HUD not worth it compare to BMW HUD. I think I can live without it.

How does the C450 HUD differ from the BMW HUD? I find my 2015 BMW X5 HUD indispensable.

I hear yah ... With all the high expectations of the Eagles it has been a sad 2 weeks.

Let's hope we get better news on the C450 front this week. My car was going to be in Princeton at the latest Friday 9/18, guaranteed ... and nothing. The sales rep is off today so hopefully Tuesday will be then lucky day. All I need is the car and the sales order.

I'm actually a NY fan, i just got married in October 2014 and moved to philly last August. But I do root for the Eagles whenever they're not playing against any NY team. However, I think the problem is Chip, he's trying too hard to be Belidick.

Even if we do get our cars this week, I don't think I will be driving it until next week, with the Pope coming to the city and all the madness and road closures, I would feel safer at home. or maybe go on a mini vacation until he leaves.

It only show you the speed and nothing else. For $1500 I would rather save it for something else.

Mine went to B4 (2 DAYS TO COMPLETION) last Thursday. Got the VIN and everything matches what is on the build sheet. After hearing the C63 story about ordering AMG Performance Seats and getting the sport seats instead, I was a little concerned.

Still no sign of the one that is in front of mine, that was released to carrier (D5) on the 16th.

Did you drive the car in 'Sport Plus'? Apparently the exhaust is opened up more in this mode.

The Mercedes system might be like BMW's where you can turn on or off the different types of information that is displayed. The BMW one also displays speed only if you set it that way. No idea what the defaults are. The C450 HUD supposedly includes additional AMG-only features like on the C63.
