I'm so ready to get into a C450 and this is very tempting. Somebody tell me to get it or wait.
Speaking only for myself, I would delay gratification and wait a month to get exactly what I wanted.

Appreciate your POV as I feel the same. The problem is that I went between these two very similar setups(interior/exterior) several times and have even made numerous changes back and forth. It's possible I can have remorse even after the final build is here. Ugh, decisions decisions.

I say get the one you know will make you happy every time you enter the car. Mine isn't a C450, but I wanted and got the Cranberry Red leather as I had it in my C350 Coupe and after 4 years with that car, I loved it enough to have it in my next car. You can't really make a mistake with either.

I updated the site with the full specs of the run it was my first time running a quarter mile so I'm sure I can get it lower with more practice.

This depends how much you care about these 2 options. Personally I find the iridium and generally all light colors better on c450. I usually hate these colors and my last 4 cars were black or dark grey but C450 is IMo nicer in light because it is not body built enough.
Also you may have better discount on a stock
Now December is not far but I FULLY understand how much it is hard to wait as I'm in same situation with a delivery expected around 20th !!
It is also true that even with an order you will always hesitate between options until order freeze and this is also my case (AMG steering wheel or normal wheel, carbon or wood trim, night package or not...)

2016 C450
I am just waiting it out. I have a December first week build. Car finally went into "no revisions in order". I even sold my previous car a month ago. Been driving my parents MB, c class and e class around and taking ubers.

I'll never take for granted a car again in a city that requires one. Uber is a real PIA.

I was in the same boat as you before mine came in for about 3 weeks it was pretty horrible.

I think you will kick yourself for not getting the designo brown seats. Mine is on order and can't wait. I could have got one sooner but it didn't have all the options I wanted. So I'm waiting... Worst part is I'm dropping it off as soon as I get it for a 3 day coating detail...

Brutus - What combination did you land on?

If I decide to go the C450 route, I'm leading toward saddle brown leather, linden wood trim, polar or diamond white paint, and 19" multi-spoke titanium wheels. I'm actually torn between polar white and diamond white. I would order polar white with anything but the saddle brown leather, and could see going that route anyhow, but the diamond white would probably be text book for the brown and linden wood if one's going with white.

And I don't really like any of the wheel options (give me the cross-spoke forged titanium that you can get with the C63). No excuse for not offering a set of truly premium forged alloy wheels for this car.

I posted my build a few pages ago. I'm on my phone or I'd repost

I did polar white as my wife has a polar white ML. I really like the diamond white and probably would have gone that route if she had diamond white.

I really wanted black ash but for some insane reason that wood is not available with non racing seat designo brown. I am thinking of buying th ash wood and installing after the fact but we will see how the linden wood looks

I originally had the black 19" multi spoke wheels, but didn't like the glossy black. Looked like someone took a can of gloss black paint to them aftermarket. So I changed it to the titanium multi spoke.

I think the brown designo seats are awesome. I think the platinum designo would be blue from daily Jean wear. But the brown just looks sweet.

Few more weeks and she will be here

Designo Brown >> Cranberry

But the brown goes better with black, white, white Diamond than with any silver or gray color exterior.

Polar white, black 19" multispokes, night package on the outside + saddle brown Designo, linden wood on the inside =

Such a beautiful combination.

nobody can answer that question for your since you're talking about only subjective elements like color...

be strong, get what you want. you're going to have it at least 3-4 years.

I have seen the black ash on several cars, none with designo nor the racing seats.

2016 C450
So, I tried installing my winter wheels today, and unfortunately, the do not fit. Luckily, I can return them, as 1010tires had guaranteed fitness. This is the specs of the wheels that don't fit.

Enkei EKM3 (Painted/Gun Metal) Wheels 18X8 5 112 45mm 72.62
Item #442-880-4445GM

Can anyone say what's the exact size I need? I'm not very technical, what I want to know is (1) offset 35mm, 45mm etc, (2) size 18X8? What am I missing? HELP! What I find strange, is that tirerack.com have the exact same wheels as available for the C450, but I know for sure they do not fit.

I think it may be the AMG camber that is throwing off wheel fitment.. should one focus on C63 fitment as alternative choices?

2016 C450 (on order)
I found this online for 19 inch wheels. So far I have yet to find an aftermarket wheel that will fit unique size and offset of the fronts on the C450.

225/40R19
255/35R19
7.5Jx19 ET33
8.5Jx19 ET52
5x112

What is the offset? In millimeters? 35mm? 45mm? I have those specs. I'm looking for 18", but everywhere I called, they want to know the offset
What does ET33 and ET52 means?

I've seen a few instances where the ash has been in cars with the platinum designo. But they have had aluminum trim on the door handles. When you read the description of the cars and their window stickers, it calls for gloss black and aluminum. Really strange. My dealer thought it may have been in error, but I've seen a few online the same way.

The German site won't allow the ash with designo brown combo, where the USA site still will show it.

I thought it would be different with Uber Black, because I took that in another city, but it's the same in this city. Ridiculous.

33 and 52 are the offsets in his listing. the offset of a wheel is the distance from the hub mounting surface to the center line of the wheel.

Does anyone know what color cars come with color coded matched door handles? Or are they all chrome or chrome/paint color split? I've never really noticed before.

Cajun, your web site is great and we can feel your passion for cars !
A couple of questions for you:
- Are you happy with the 19' multispoke black wheels? I ordered the same on my C450 iridium exterior. I like to concave shape from center to the surface side of the wheels (it makes me think about a kind of Vossen style)

- I read your testdrive stats. I'm not used to american measure units
have you tested 0 to 100km/h?

THX
