Did you know?
I get into the Mercedes, clicked 3 times... only thing...
the owner of the car was screeming: "what in the world are you doing in my car!!!"
my respons... "the world? no.. get me to mr tinman". He gave me a Heineken thin ...
Happy End.
BTW: I think Dority is a guy!
I, and most people, want the car behind me to know that I am not moving/accelerating or about to move when you are at a light. The only time I would ever consider putting the car in park (no brake lights illuminated) while on a road is in extremely heavy traffic when you cannot move (eg. motor vehicle accident when cars are at a complete standstill). I do not know of anyone that has an issue with illuminated brake lights in front on them even in NY (other than they hate being in traffic... I would not be offended by brake lights). I like the C-class brake lights

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I was on the phone canceling my trial of mbrace last night and the woman asked why I wanted to cancel, and I said because I got my new car 6 months ago and now they are giving away basic mbrace for free for 5 years, and also said I was disappointed that they cant update my car with remote start. However she said that the car has to have a remote start module built into it? any one know if this is true?
When we got home, she got out and went indoors. The car drove fine, when I was driving into the garage, just bongs and warning messages up.

That was my argument as well when I pre-canceled my mbrace subscription.
No remote start...no renewal of mbrace...buh bye...

For the remote start, sadly it is more than just a button or even a plug/module. It requires complete rewire of the whole car, handles, etc. Someone in the C63 forums tried going this route and was told that the whole car had to be stripped, rewired, new parts for handles and other areas. As you can imagine the price was in the thousands for such a thing.

There's a place here in Mass that will install remote start in a 2015 W205, but it involves dropping the car off for 3 days while they remove the starter module & send it to Chicago for modification...and the total cost...$1,300, plus one of your FOBs (sacrificed for parts), and a rental car for three days.
I stopped caring after the $1,300 figure was said...

1. while cruising, holding the downshift paddle will downshift to the lowest gear possible. I thought it was broken when it happened accidentally.
2. while in manual mode, hold the upshift paddle will bring it back to auto.
