I've not seen a demo car. I've ordered through the lease company awaiting approval from my work. I still have the choice of changing to Estate if I can fit a tow bar with 17" wheels. What to do???? I'll tell you when I get the delivery time.

I have had confirmated from my lease company and Merc than the Estate can not be fitted with 17's from factory with a pano roof / or a towbar, it needs 18's which pushes upto 52 co2.

Theres no aftermarket towbar or electric pack for a C350e saloon or Estate at the moment after speaking with some aftermarket companies, they advised it "could" be 12 months before on the market and no fixed timescales at this stage and they would also "may" have to follow manfactures policy on wheel size due to warrenty.

So for me, an estate is a no go'er due to the overall tax.

I hope that the co2 remains under 50 with the Premium plus and tow bar!
Member, looking forwards to your photos too.
Is yours an AMG Line ? I'm trying to find a suitable towbar for my incoming AMG Line Prem Plus saloon but was too late for a factory fit. Can you tell me which brand you went for ? Thanks

The boot space on the estate seems to be flat from the pictures I have seen, however they tend to be press or concept cars - theres a chap in this thread who had a estate demo at the weekend from the NL who could confirm.

The 350e only comes in Sport trim, there not much option on the UK market for a aftermarket towbar but its been covered in other threads.

I've spoken to a few uk dealers for a 350e saloon, sounds like there shouldbe some demos out there but end of June but I need to make a move on company car order by then.. best photos of the boot I've seen are these http://www.9tro.com/features/new-car...rid-power-play but I assume the 17 mm measurement mentioned is an error!

Was looking at brilliant blue, but not sure how that looks without the AMG trim so leaning towards hyacinth red now..
Can't say that I'm a fan of the 17" alloys but the bik increase for 18s is a killer and I'm looking at c350e to reduce cost vs c220 as a company car.

Same here regarding the 18's

Im thinking Polar white rather than spending more on options...

Example photos below of a cdi version

Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds promising. I'd be really interested in seeing the pics (and specs) of the C350e boot/trunk...

Taken from the URL above - these are the best photos I have seen of the boot. HOWEVER - or if its like the diagram in the 350 pdf which shows the lip a lot higher ? as that lip in the photo above looks like it would not reduce the capacity from 480 litres to 335 litres?

The lip looks a lot smaller than on the product document i have managed to acquire.

EDIT - found some more photos -

But - these are all press cars / show cars....

Yes drove the same car today. Had to work longer than i thought so it was a short drive.
I took a quick pic of the estate's boot size.

Mercedes C350e Boot

There are some pics on the internet of the boot from the sedan just like you posted.
The boot of the estate is flat, but if you lower the back seats it does have a small edge. Smaller than the one in the sedan though.
The last part of the boot you can lift up, where the normal battery and fuses are.

Didn't check the mileage, my dad drove all afternoon and only drove it for half hour myself. Again had some fun with the steering assist.

Added the 19" AMG wheels to my order. The salesman told me my car is going on transport on may 18th.

yeah, going for the Saloon version based on C02 and towbar. Ordered it now with my lease company. In White with Premium and a towbar with black/black.

Just need to now wait for the lease company to confirm the order next week.

Restricted specification

I have a C350e estate on order but have been advised that if I add any of the premium packs, towbar, sunroof or Comand, then the car has to have the 18" alloys. This bumps the emissions over the 50g and doubles the benefit in kind tax payable in the UK. I can add the 360 camera, metallic paint, remote on-line, leather, wood and parking assist without penalty. Oh well. That will have to do.

Yeah, it's the pano roof and / or towbar which requires 18's due to the weight on the estate only .

It's a shame really as estate was my first choice and I need a towbar ... (And a pano roof!)

Hi everyone, Newbie signing in.........

I've just put in order last week for C350e estate prem plus as my new lease car. Just had an update quoting stock date of 31 Oct 15 - a long wait, assuming it doesn't change. Like everyone else in UK I expect, no test drive, except for C300 hybrid which gave me a feel of what to expect from a hybrid at least.

Ready to order one and used the online configurator to spec one and forward to a couple of dealers. Not one has bothered coming back to me with anything.

Anyone in the UK recommend any dealers - looking for a test drive (with air suspension really and preferably an estate) and if the offer is good I am ready to order. I had the same issue last year when I was about to order the diesel hybrid - dealers visited and none bothered finding out answers to my questions and getting back to me to complete an order. Gave up and read about imminent C350e so decided to wait.

Based in London but willing to travel if most of the order can be done online/email. Like to order the estate with most everything except for the air/perfume thing, and HUD.

I ordered mine about a month ago and was told yesterday it will be in the port 25th August. He tells me that the order book is full for 18 months !!!!! (Don't really believe that). I have ordered a PP with everything bar the larger wheels (bik so will do that after V5). I am awaiting a petrol demo to ensure I like the car, albeit without the hybrid. The first demo's are not in the UK until June.

I negotiated my price around the Drive The Deal discounted price but I checked earlier and they are no longer offering any C350's. Broadspeed appear to be taking orders for Estates so it may be worth a try to them. One thing to note is that if you go for the PP pack on the estate you have to order the 18" wheels which puts in the bik band above and doubles the tax if it is a company car.
