Has anyone got a C350e on Order / Feedback ?
1) Faster engine
2) Good mileage in general
3) At least trying to help the environment although admittedly a very long way to go
4) Owning kind of a unique model that not everyone else will have
Now I drive more like 20000 miles per year, so it effects me a bit more than your calculation, but I've never really thought I would be getting a pay back on gas savings on any Hybrid I have owned. To me it's just a different engine choice for whatever reason you want.
By the way, anyone know how long it will take the Alabama plant to ship it up the eat coast once you have the VIN number?

I don't know if you fixed the problem you mentioned about the message 'connection temporarily not available' in Connect.
I have succeeded in making it work. I use an iPhone, and it works if in Settings you activate the option "PERSONAL HOTSPOT". You then have to connect the car to your phone.
Dealer sheet now says Feb '17 for the release.

I have ordered the same as you with the tow bar, when I added the tow bar it said that it had removed comfort access and keyless start. is this correct, as I understand with the tow bar the auto opening of the boot with your foot might not work, but the keyless entry and start button seems a bit stupid that adding a tow bar would re move these features ?
Thanks,
Adrian.

I have just done 10,000 miles in my C350e, the rear tyres are getting low and I have just been told that they are likely to last another 1500 miles or so, so that means I am getting 12000 miles per year on the rear tyres, the front tyres are fine. Can this be right, I know the battery is heavy but only 12000 miles, ummmm. I am not using the car like a sports car so it isn't that.
By the way the USA 2016 350e's still haven't shipped and they are now saying mid July. then one month later production of the 17's start. This seems absurd to me.
edit: 17's Feb 17 now.

The extra weight shouldn't cause any excessive wear.

It will be interesting to see what Mercedes have to say, no doubt I will be blanked until I cause a fuss but then I mustn't pre-judge!
What they can do about it is another thing, I did read an article somewhere that people are complaining about tyre and brake wear on hybrid cars but not specific to Merc, don't know about the brakes yet.
Well I have now been told by a Mercedes dealer that for a C350e around 11,000 miles is to be expected from the rear tyres, my tyres are continental 225/45 18 Y XL, so the 18" wheels as I have the sunroof. The tyres are around £140 each, so every 6 months that will be a cost to be picked up, don't know about the front tyres yet but they seem ok at the moment. Bring on the Tesla.
Does anyone here have a spec c350e on order in the USA? Any other info that you've been told and could share? Or am I the only one?

Bring on the Tesla.Mine should be able to reach 31km but it mostly indicates around 20km. I managed once to reach 33km but i had to drive like an old lady and keep the speed as constant as possible. My normal range is between 15 and 20 km depending on temperature and drive style.
Try to use your pre conditioning. This also heats up the batteries.

My Australian order for a C350e has been put back a further 3 months for delivery. My dealer says it is because they are fitting a "new" engine.
It appears that older 2 litre 4 cylinder engines had "Wrist Pin" problems and this may be the reason why they are doing modifications and causing delays.
My dealer couldn't give any more details.
