The saga ends. My new C300 Sport is home.
Interesting little change.

Pleased to see all is going well with your upgrade!
This question is for all. When I purchased my 2015
C400 last month, I asked for the VMI on the car which was
manufactured in November. Concerned about the Mb-tex seats
bleeding issues which is why I asked for VMI. Is it possible work
could be performed on car without being logged? Just saying...my real hope is
I got close to a well manufactured C from America even tho it was in November.

them as they are part of the same company. So you are saying the bleeding is
inevitable in our climate?
It is possible that the problem will resolve itself as the vinyl cures with time, but the cars haven't been out long enough to know that at this point.
Your W205 with sport package just looks stunning! Hope you will have many years of driving enjoyment in that car.
One thing I notice about the leather seats in US spec W205 is different to Australian spec (SA built). I think this is because you guys have the option of ventilated as well as heated seats. We only have heated option for Australian spec W205.
You didn't go with the 19inch AMG wheels? Is that not standard in the sport package?

I had no great desire to have the ventilated seats but, now having them, I think they are a nice feature. Certainly not a "must have," but it does work well and does cool the seats.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I like the leather. It feels good, smells good, and has more pleats than the MB-Tex, which I like. I was okay with MB-Tex until it became possessed by demons. The exorcism was a success, but I did not want to go that route again.

At this point, with my first C300, I already had scheduled two recall trips to the dealer, had noticed the badly fit fuel filler door, remarked on how loose and flimsy the sunroof shade was, and was not at all pleased with the overly light steering feel.
The only quality issue I have been able to find is that slight rear bumper cover misalignment, and that does seem to be the norm on all US ... and some non-US ... builds. It can be easily corrected with a couple of shims, but I'm sure an assembly line solution would require a new rear bumper cover mold. Maybe 2016, but it doesn't look like a 2015 fix. In any case, it's a minor cosmetic issue.
I'm almost ... almost ... ready to conclude that Alabama is finally getting their act together. I will post a 1,000 mile report when I reach that point. So far, so good.
I am pretty annoyed the auto start/stop... I always forget to switch it off.
I do feel like I'm pressing more "buttons" to get on the road. I know technology is supposed to make our lives easier-- but sometimes it feels more complicated!

Check out my C300 car review I posted today. I hope you enjoy...
