another LED bites the dust
1. LED door light - asking if they can replace the other 2 that haven't gone out yet but are dimmer than the newest one.
2. Drivers side door rattle over bumps.
3. Cracking in speakers when calling someone via bluetooth, and cracking sounds on satellite radio.
4. Whistling sound coming from vents.
5. Fuel issue recall
6. Wind at speeds over 60mph.
Wish me luck, I'd bet only 1 and 5 are fixed.
I miss the BMW drive train, it's way superior. However the Merc quality level is higher.
Bmw do drivers cars and Merc do style and comfort.
I have both for both reasons.
We say "Benz" here, and nickname BMW as "Bimmer"...

Benz is something you get when coming up from a deep dive in the ocean!

Personally I prefer Merc to Benz.

I myself owned two VW's...both had many electrical issues.
Then again my current 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been in the shop 6 times for the year I've owned it...so I'll never buy a Chrysler/Jeep product ever again either.

There is acoustic glass and new seals to fix the wind. You'll have to beg for it.

Bad news. MB Chrylser Jeep from same merged paremt Diamler since about 1998. If considering an MB, you're buying another one. And a new year model in a first year run of US build, you'll probably see your shop as much as your Audi friends see theirs. It's still a cool car though.
The problems I've had with my Grand Cherokee mostly stem from the 3.6L 8 speed transmission...a Chrysler modified and assembled variant of the original German ZF transmission. The V8 version gets the mostly untouched German made version ZF...and it has had WAY less issues.
So the reason for 2 weeks? They found multiple errors in the control unit for the radio and combox? of the car. They had to special order the part from Germany and it came in 2 days ago they installed it this morning and the car is still showing multiple faults. They are now on the phone with engineers from burmester and mercedes, the service adviser said they cannot do anymore and need assistance but now i'm being told the car is undrivable. stay tuned...

I would NOT want that car back either because computer/electrical issues like you're experiencing can be extremly difficult to fix.
Time for a replacement for sure.

The noise in the door is still there and louder. They fixed the one door LED light and 2 days later the front drivers door went out and now the front passenger door is blinking (those are the 2 un replaced ones). I still have popping and crackling in the speakers when listening to the radio but when making phone calls over bluetooth it is better. The kicker....my trackpad is completely inoperable the turn knob works but not the touchpad. waiting for a loaner appointment now. Planning on calling a lawyer this week.
