Almost Done......

This is my 2015 C400. It has been lowered with 20" Niche 141 Lucerne wheels. I went with a pretty aggressive offset so I wasn't sure if it was going to work out. I was only able to find one set of tires that would work without any rubbing (Nitto). I went with 275/25/20 Front and 245/30/20 rear. Here are a couple of picks I took this evening.

Very impressive.

Be interested to hear how practical it is to "live with" though?

The suspension is stiffer but that doesn't bother me. I thought the ride with the run flat tires was pretty rough. I am 41 and love it. If my wife is ok with it, it can't be that bad. I am sure many people would disagree.

They are 20x9 front with a 38mm offset and 20x10 rear with 40mm offset. As I said. It is (IMO) as aggressive as you can go on this car without rubbing. The alignment helped square the rear tires. I will post the pics of the front tomorrow. I couldn't be happier with it.

Do you know the offset? My rear was pushing it. I was worried that I was going to need to stretch a 265 over the rim to avoid rubbing. It looks more stretched with the 275 then I really wanted. Just had no choice.

Sorry for the delayed response. They are Vogtland springs. I get no rubbing even with 5 people in the car.

Might sound like a silly question but why did you put wider tyres on the front of a rear wheel drive car?

Mine is not rear wheel. They do not build the C 400 in rear wheel drive. With that said, if it were rear wheel drive I would not put 10" wide tires on the back of a MB and leave the front at 7.5. It's not a funny car.

I think he was refering to your first post, you have the tire sizes stated backwards, most of us can figure it out, but some take it literally all you have to do is edit the first post

Sorry for the comment on rear drive - Mercedes do not sell the C400 in the Australian market. We do not get access to any 4-Matic CClass models. Your car looks fantastic!!! I have a C63s on order and am interested in after market wheels. Great to hearing that they fit with no rubbing. Are you noticing much of a drop in ride quality with the 25 aspect ratio? Also, is your front rubber wider than your rear as mentioned in your first post (perhaps to reduce understeer)?

Hi and sorry to bring back the old thread. Do you know if you had any more room on the inside, like from the suspension components or even the control arm with your 20x9 et38 front wheels? Im trying to see if i can clear on the inside with less aggressive offset, like 20x9 et44, for example. Thanks in advance!
