Please post a reference to anyone who has 'rubbished the entire product line'? It sounds like you're being melodramatic and cocky.

If you look back, most joined this forum before they got their car. THEN noted problems. There are some issues with the cars made in the USA that they haven't addressed or admitted to. If YOU don't have a problem, fine, but I can see why c21bill called you out on being insensitive, some of your posts have been pretty negative.

Just beautiful! New C class is like a small version of S class. Too bad I bought a C250 in 2013. If I waited, I could be driving the new C300 ....

Someone has actually said that the C300 is the "worst built car of 2015". That's melodramatic IMO.

I do feel bad that some people have had issues but some of us haven't. Being made to feel like we are deaf, dumb or stupid because nothing is wrong with our car gets old quick.

Not hunting for it, but never seen a post where someone trashed the entire MB line. Never saw anyone call someone 'deaf' either.

It's kinda old too people ironically 'complaining' about people 'complaining' on a car forum. At least we can count on these people to never express a car issue or wish online, since they have perfect car, senses and all.

I rather be deaf, dumb and stupid without issues than alert and smart with issues...

or it could be that some of the owners are not ignorant and are genuinely happy with their car ? anyway lets not get another thread hijacked by this sort of bickering and be please for a very satisfied new owner and let's hope we would have more of them on the board once US side iron out their early issues

No Sol01. I was referring to miketc's post about rather having issue and not noticing, better than not having an issue and noticing. It's a popular saying here in the states, that "ignorance is bliss". Usually holds true.

Maybe the birth of a new saying. SOME people with ignorance aren't bliss. Negative posts of people "complaining" so much about people "complaining" belong more on a self help blog, not here.

Was able to get my new C300 above 70 mph today after work...thought a heard a very faint fluttering of wind noise by my left ear...can't really tell. As a passenger on the test drive, I heard nothing above 70 mph.

Regardless, my C300 is WAY quieter than my wife's 2014 BMW 328i xDrive...seems to steer more accurately as well.

I know you are man, me too!

Just a select fragile and negative few on the board who take posts with brand or car concerns personally and think they, and the car are flawless.

Ironically some of them complaining more negatively about each other on the board, than people negative about the car itself.

Yep...they're called "Fanboys"...

Kidding aside, I never understood why some owners take criticism of their model vehicle so personally. No vehicle is perfect...or perfect for all people.

Totally agree.

I think the weakest of owners claim their 'self worth' on the car they drive, and any hit against it, or anything they might not notice, is like callin' their phallus short, or their mama fat. Either way, hopefully the OP enjoys his car, and feels welcome to bring another owners perspective without concern of the 'fan boys'.

As a new owner of this car, I have been pleased with fit and finish, performance, comfort and overall quality. I know there will be problems of some sort ahead and that is just the nature of the beast. I have purchased many automobiles in my lifetime and everyone has had a problem, sometimes minor, sometimes major. It is just the luck of the draw. I do know how frustrating it can be when a problem shows up and getting the dealer to respond and certainly sympathize with folks in that situation.
Thanks again for all the responses.

I really don't see the issue here. So what if someone really takes pride in their car and feels they can associate strongly with it. It's the same branding and sense of identification we have with companies we work for, sport teams we support etc... Of course there is going to be some overlap and things will occasionally be come personal, but there is definitely no need to judge these people as being weak or suffering from low self-esteem

If the guy wants to say something positive and not focus on the negative.. let him crack on...

Well said! For some of us "fan boys", the w205 is not our first (or second, or third) Mercedes-Benz. So excuse us for getting slightly annoyed at the first time lease special posters who threaten class action lawsuits if their first MB isn't perfect from the start.
