And, for the heat, I got the 3M crystalize 70% on all windows plus the top, so Memphis in July isn't too bad, now.

Must be the "diamond" thing, as mine is "silver diamond" and lots of girls/women comment on how cool my car is, especially the colour

im 6'5" and i too was concerned about head room. turns out when you lower the seat as far as it goes, i still have at least 2-3 inches to the ceiling.

now i cant attest for rear head room as ill never sit in the back, but if you have friends or kids that are tall and are always in the back, it might be an issue

or if you dont like to sit low to the ground, it might impede on head room there.

also, if im wearing a sports hat, my hat will hit the roof on bumps. but it's rare and not an issue. the positives far outweigh the negatives

cheers, I loved the look of the new C class with this spec as soon as I saw it, I visited the dealer looking for an E class to replace my E350 AMG sport and came away with this instead which they had just taken delivery of as a demo car ;-)

Is it possible to tint the Pano sunroof? or is it already tinted?
I have the Pano sunroof, but I want to do something about it.

I had the 3M Crystalline applied to the sunroof glass, too. You might get the darker tint there, too, if you want. I had the 70% on all glass.

Yes, you do lose a little headroom, not too much, but some - only really notable in the back, TBF.

BUT, it makes a fantastic difference to the light inside the car, and the looks outside - a "must" now, for me and I was sceptical before the car arrived.

BTW, Xzer0, the pano glass is already dark tinted.

I'm not sure. I also tinted my car with ceramic tint from the dealership, but I don't know if the Pano roof was tinted.

I tinted the whole car with 35% and 20% reflectiveness or something like that.
When I open pano roof shade when its sunny outside, my car turns into a sauna and I feel like the sun is hitting me directly.

How do I know if the Pano Roof is tinted?

By looking at it from the outside...it's black, and darker than the side windows.

My side windows are 35% so they should be darker

You might lose an inch or so of space but the pano roof makes the interior feel larger and more open than it is.

I love the look of the Pano roof. Especially when it's open.

Although I rarely opened the panoramic roof, I always left the shade open for the natural light. The expansive natural lighting was the big selling point for me. The added cost of the roof is a very subjective matter.

roof rack noise?

Do any of you guys with pano roofs also have a roof rack attached to your car? I'm trying to decide on pano or not and wind noise is a consideration to me. On the regular roof with the moonroof cover slid closed, it definitely cuts down on the noise my roof rack creates. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience or thoughts about pano roof and wind noise (especially with bike racks attached)? Thanks.

FYI: on C300, there is no regular moonroof. You either get the panoramic roof or you dont get anything ... at least thats what I learnt from the forum.

To answer your question, Yes, It is worth it.
The car looks better on the outside and the inside.
And its something that you might regret not buying.

I've got a rack on mine. Its fine, no more noise than you'd get normally with racks. I seriously doubt you'd be able to fit one to the saloon and still open the roof mind you. Despite the warnings from Mercedes and Thule, I've managed to find a spot on the roof where I can still open it. Comes within a couple of mm of the bars when it does though.

I pretty much got the roof by default. I wanted the keyless entry and other stuff that comes with the Premium pack so ended up with it. I;m glad I've got it because it lightens up the interior nicely, which is particularly important when you have black headlining. I don't like how much head room it takes, I'm 6 foot 2 but I have a long back. Even with the drivers seat as low as it will go, there's only 1cm between my head and the roof, and I've got no hair!

So then Ben - which bike is yours.....? Given your comment about a long back - presume that means short legs, so, the Blue one?

Bensales - thanks for the pics and your impressions. I certainly don't mean to hijack a W205 thread but I'm trying to decide whether I should get one on a new E Wagon. I pretty much leave my bike racks on the roof of my current wagon 365 so it's great to hear your impressions. I wonder if the same difficulty applies to placement of the rack on an E class estate?
