It's a very old house (1930) and the garage isn't big enough.

The E-class doesn't have flush rails like the C so would likely be easier as the rack is higher up.

Is it worth it?
Do you open a sunroof? If yes, then yes, it's worth it.
Do you like the look of the black roof? If yes, see question 1, if yes to that, then Yes.
If Yes to question 2, and no to question 1, then just get a vinyl wrap to make it look similar.

Personally, I love it.

E class or C class? Jnejar I went down that same route due to a colour supply issue, I guess it cost another 10% to get into an E class, spec for spec. Have a look here for the E class roof rails.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-colour-2.html

BTW I have the factory swing away towbar for my bike rack, to put another option out there.

ALF - would very much enjoy a new C estate but I'm limited to getting an E class in the U.S. I've had a couple of E wagons but never one with pano roof. Another thing I would love to have is a tow hitch on the wagon but I haven't found a good option for that here either. Sigh.

As others have stated in the UK the pano roof is part of the premium plus package and keyless entry and start and burmester sound system so it was a good deal and with a black artico interior it brightens up the darker more claustrophobic interiors IMHO.

C300 is not supposed to be cramped up, it is a sedan, not a coupe or a sports racer, why has MB designed it be Claustrophobic if it is indeed? ... I hope when I get it, I like it.

Tell me the true, have you sat in a 2015 C300 before? Maybe you should sat in one before ordering; there are E and S classes to ease those with fears.

what i meant by claustrophobic is that if the interior you choose is dark {black seats and headlining} then the panoramic roof adds some welcome light.

The car has fairly typical compact size interior dimensions ... plenty of front leg and head room, and somewhat restricted in the back. I'm 6'3" and, with my seat slightly forward of my normal driving position, can comfortably fit an adult behind me.

If you're looking for generous rear seat dimensions, a mid or full sized vehicle is the only way to go.

this is very true. with the pano roof cover closed, i feel the cramped space (being 6'5" doesnt help)...but letting the light come in from the roof really improves the feel of the interior

I love my pano roof in the s205. Apart from the slightly grindy sounding fabric cover when it operates.

I am not sure of the exterior dimensions. But it does give a little less head room for your back seat passengers... Fortunately its my car and i never sit in the back.
IMO the pano gives the car a more "open" feel.
I guess that is what makes the world go round. I had trouble finding a car with my specs, which included NO pano roof. I absolutely did not want one and was very pleased when they located one for me without it. It is a pricey option and while I was okay with a normal sunroof, when the choice was pano or nothing, I chose the latter. I like the look of the roof without it, and my wife and I are both light sensitive so having this would have been a fairly big deal on longer trips, especially where I live, where it is sunny 300 days a year.

It REALLY impresses my passengers. This was not a must have feature for me but it was bundled it. It really does add quite a bit to the experience. Worth it.

Yeah exactly.. Im not a fan of the black glass woof as the dust and heat here is too much and the $4,800 package price tag.. $1,800 for a standard sunroof suited me fine

wait... people have confirmed on this thread that there is no standard sunroof on a C300. That is, either you get a car with a panoroof or you get one with no sun roof - i.e. closed ceiling

Pano was a must for me, but more so for the exterior aesthetics than interior. With a white color, the black roof looks stunning. I know many just wrap their roof for the same effect, but it's not the same as wraps always deteriorate in glossiness over time and can get scratched up with no way to polish.
