C400 4matic full off issues
C400 fully loaded
Date of purchase March 2015
6000 km
Has been to dealership 5 times already out of which checked by three different ones .
Problems up to date :
1. Bumpy ride : So finally the dealer was able to find the cause was the right rear suspension was the culprit and they are replacing both the suspensions. They could not pick up before as its a new release they did not have all the updated tools / diagnostics .
It took them one week to take the car in the shop and still waiting for it to be fixed 5 days in parts yet to come in . Suspension going out so soon?
2. The run flat indicator in a c400 is a passive system as per the manual shown by my service advisor .therefore it may or may not work with runflats .
My car had a flat tire and no indicator came on after informing Mercedes canada nothing can be done this is normal .
3. Drove on a pit after they fixed the runflat tire ,felt as if steering is stiff took to my dealership foreman drove with me says its normal .took to a different dealership said all is ok but was made to pay 170 dollars for diagnostics which is not covered by Mercedes warranty .MB canada agreed .
4. Speaker buzz: as per the latest answer by the dealer it's a know issue with apple Bluetooth and apple is working on it . They said previously a software update was the cause.
Foreman again looked at it says this is normal .they are replacing she speaker will test it once I get back the car .
5. There is some issues with the parking brake which may not disengage I was driving to jasper after a pit stop for coffee the car started giving high rev with engine smell as if overheating had to use road side assistance but dealership could not find the cause until now ,
70000 $ car very poor support from the dealership and from Mercedes canada .

You must have the worst dealer on earth. I had the airmatic issue, it is due to a bum sensor, easy fix. The tire sensors are not passive, if they were it would be impossible to get pressure readings for each tire as you can with the information system, ergo it works perfectly with any tire particularly the OEM runflats. Time to find another dealer.

I can only see runflat indicator active and if you want to reset it or not. It comes with sports package .For you to have active you have to have tpms which shows individual tire pressures as per the dealer.

It does show individual tire pressures under the settings (I think) menu accessed with the steering wheel controls. Each wheel has a sensor. I think you're getting some bad information from your dealer.

BMWs have TPMS in the U.S. and passive monitoring in Canada. Could be the same for MB.

I got the car back with replaced shock absorbers but no change in the ride quality , took the delivery guy with me and made him experience the ride . Said was like basketball , back to dealership again , anybody has an idea what the fault with the automatic could be ?
Since the dealership and its service department are Incompetent ?
I did not expect this from a premium brand as Mercedes .

My terrible experience
Please check out the video link below. After double digit trips to the dealership for numerous reasons this was the straw that broke the camels back. Very dangerous! Driving on the interstate on my way to work going about 70mph. Vehicle safety features failed and nearly caused an accident. The video simply shows all the features failed. Unfortuently no way of showing me fighting the car so it does not strike the vehicle next to me followed by limited driving ability. Traded my car and and still it cost me thousands!

you should apply lemon law if applicable.

I looked into it but in Illinois, from what I was able to gather, it is a challenge. Not as consumer friendly as other states. I wanted people to know that Mercedes is extremely far from the best or nothing. Although I probably should have consulted an attorney.

Is My Vehicle a Lemon?
In order to be covered by the Illinois Lemon Law, a vehicle must:
have a nonconformity that both substantially impairs the use , market value or safety of the vehicle and is not repairable by the dealer or manufacturer in at least four attempts for the same repair, or
be out of service for a total of 30 or more business days.
They also suggest that a private attorney be hired to initiate the proceedings. In your case, you may hit the 30 business days before you see four attempts to repair the same defect. You may wind up with a Lemon Law case if your issues aren't resolved in the very near future.
As you get closer to Lemon Law status, you may also find that MB-USA becomes more amenable to a settlement. In my own case, we reached an agreement before the Lemon Law kicked in. My dealer took my service plagued C300 in as a trade. The depreciation on that car was alleviated with a $2,250 extended warranty, a $250 dealer credit, and a check for $1,000. I walked away paying some money for a new C300, but it wound up being a very fair and reasonable deal all around. The new car, interestingly enough, has been virtually trouble free.
