Flat tyre?
I have been informed that my C250 will not have a spare wheel. Just the kit to temporarily repair a flat tyre.
I will of course have break down cover, but out of curiosity, what would I do if it was midnight and I was travelling through the middle of no where and suffered a flat tyre?
It feels a little bit helpless.. first time not having a spare wheel in a car

Typically you can drive 60-70 km on the RFT, but at no more than 70-80 km/h. You can not repair the RFT after you have driven on it with low or no air. Then you have to hope that someone has the specific tire that you need in stock. I just went through this yesterday on my F10. Luckily it was only 50 km to the BMW dealer and they had one in stock. Usually, I have to wait one day for them to get a tire from the warehouse. BTW, the repair kit would not have worked since it was a sidewall puncture.

BMW's had RFT's for some time. My 2005 335I got a nail in a tire and it was fixed with a plug.

If you have driven on the tire with little or no air you should not try and repair it because the sidewall structure has been compromised. Otherwise, you can repair a tread puncture. However, most dealers and many independent tire shops will not repair them because they don't know if you have compromised the sidewall.

I too opted for a 3 year plan on my 19" wheels/tires...at a $998 cost. If you do ever damage a wheel or tire, DON'T EVER say you hit a curb...always say it was a pothole.

Why? Does the insurance have an exclusion for curbs?

In europe mercedes sell a winter wheel package including tpms but not the centre wheel bearing cover. For 17inch rims they cost 2000 euro for the set. Link below
