Help.. How do I remove the wing mirror outer covers?

Help.. How do I remove the wing mirror outer covers?
Ive took the plunge and am awaiting delivery of the matt alu mirror covers I saw online,I'm still slightly undersided on them but want to see what they look like on and if I like I will keep,if not I'll just el them on,so no great loss.
Thing is I've searched on here and only found very basic instruction and mention of the removing of the mirror glass and then the outer covers themselves.
Bearing in mind how much the mirror glass costs and not wanting to damage anything can anyone enlighten me on how I go about doing this ?
I assume the glass has to come off first and then the housing are just somehow clipped in?
Any help much appreciated

Thanks I'd seen that info (in fact its been the only info I can find!)
Was after more detailed guide but if nothing comes up will try with that.
