First post here. I'm finally upgrading from my old 2008 Infiniti G35 to a C200 in Dubai. I was a bit disappointed to see that the base model here was nothing compared to the C300 in the US, it comes with less HP (184), less standard options and costs more! I was also a bit worried about downgrading the engine from my overpowered 331 HP G35, but after test driving the C200 I realized that the smoothness of the ride more than makes up for the loss of raw power!

So since they didn't have anything I liked in stock, I decided to take the custom order route and wait 4 months (yes, it takes 4 months here). I went ahead and placed the order today and paid the 20% deposit, now the waiting starts

The power is more than enough for non motorway use. It's actually quite quick around town and on country roads. On the motorway however it is actually a bit slow and overtaking isn't particularly rapid.

Fuel use is high and is nowhere near the quoted values. MB quote, for my car, 36/46/55 and I get 22/29/41

I hope it improves with mileage otherwise it's going back.

Driver5.. 8 months is insane! Is that standard for a custom order in the UK?

Anyone coming from a Lexus/Infiniti/Acura to MB? How was the transition and what do you think was the most remarkable difference?

I've been reading the forum for the past few weeks and starting to regret not going with the Distronics Plus option..

Would you recommend replacing the Parktronic with Distronics if it's not too late?

It would add about 300-400 $ to the total price. Would love to get both but the options are already bringing the price up quite a bit
