How Much Did You Pay For Window Tinting?
When my car comes in October, I'm seriously considering getting the windows tinted. I live in Florida, where it's hot hot hot. My MB dealer offers the tinting, using Nano Film, which they say blocks 90% of the heat and UV rays. They charge $399, with a lifetime warranty. I like the option of just letting them do it when the car arrives. They'll do the work and guarantee it. And I'm sure I get a discount from that. Still, I'm wondering if you got your windows tinted, what you paid?
Edit. I should also add that they have a film that is not Nano and it doesn't cost as much ($199 installed - also with lifetime warranty).

The dealerships usually contract out this kind of works. They would add about 100% surcharge.
Not sure if lifetime warranty is really required, I have a few cars tinted in the past 20 years and none of them had problems.

Thanks again. I'll have to call around and get some quotes and guarantees. I do like the lifetime guarantee, but don't want to overpay in the process. I'm inclined to ask them to do the Nano film offer to pay $199. I have a few weeks to research this before my car comes at any rate.

I paid $375 (5 windows) for Ceramic tint with lifetime warranty. I forgot the name brand. Spend the extra money and get ceramic tint at a reputable installer, it really makes a difference.

Thanks. This also helps to make the dealer price, who uses ceramic-nano film, a reasonable expense.

I paid $0 because it was part of my price negotiation for the car. I also live in Florida, and I would never have a car here without it. I put it on my last Mercedes, and it was like new when I sold the car after 15 years. It's a real good idea to have the Dealer do it. At least you know they will stay around for warranty work if needed. This is what I put on the C300:
