2018 GLC63
One last update to this thread for all of my friends that were agonizingly waiting for their builds along with me and mine...
I needed to replace my old 2002 Durango RT and bounced around a few ideas to replace it... another Durango (...I really like the current model) and a few other SUVs including a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk (but I couldn't get past the Jeep interior for a 90K vehicle). Finally, I came up with the idea to replace both the Durango and the C450 if I could get the same designo interior as my 450.
After some serious searching and a little negotiation, I worked out a deal to trade in the C450 for a GLC63.
The C450 never made it to the dealer... once my brother got word that I was trading it, I ended up working out a deal with him (which is cool because I was never going to recoup the value for some of the options like the designo interior - it doesn't even so up on most car value estimators).
It was seriously hard to even consider selling the 450... that car was a blast to drive, I am definitely going to miss it. It's funny, most people considered the single year run of the Mercedes C 450 AMG Sport (replaced by the Mercedes AMG C 43) to be a black mark (a negative)... I saw it as something different, I saw it as unique...one of a kind.
Thanks for everyone that followed this thread and left comments... here are some final pictures that I took of both the C450 and the GLC63:
