It was a tough three months waiting for the build... But I would have to say that it was worth the wait.
When I finally got the word last Thursday (we had been emailing back and forth because the truck was five hours late), the email read "Just got here. Looks awesome."
I replied...
"Don't touch it. Don't even look at it. Go on, get out. You heard me. Don't look at me, either."
(He immediately got it).
Here are the remaining pictures that I didn't post last week.
Thank you so much for taking and posting these. I'm glad you used a great DSLR to take pictures of a beautiful car! Simply STUNNING! STUNNING I'm telling you!

I think you should get all of the credit for the camera. If you hadn't talked me into the big-boy camera, we would be looking at phone-pics!
Plus, I knew if I used the nice camera, so would you, and you have two sweet rides in-bound

Oh yes, I will be using my Nikon DSLR to take pics of both cars. I actually got to sit in mine yesterday, turn her on and play with the Burmester system. I was really pleased with everything. I didn't take any pictures though and it was raining.
I still don't know when I'll be taking delivery. While the C300 Sport is here, the GLA Sport was supposed to be built today, but my dealer isn't sure when MB will be releasing the 2016 GLAs to their dealers. I hope not too long. It's killing me knowing my car is here and just sitting there waiting for me........

Stop hurting yourself like that!

Let's just prey the GLA doesn't get stuck in that quagmire that the first C450 builds got stuck in waiting to be released. The C63S' got stuck also, but it wasn't as bad... let's hope the GLAs are released at a little quicker cadence.

Yes, it does concern me that the GLAs will be held-up ala C450. I do hope they're not, but they certainly could be. One reason would be for the dealers to continue selling the remaining 2015s. But the logic in that is flawed. If a customer comes in for a 2016 and a dealer tried to steer them to a 2015, but customer can just walk and take the time to look at other options. Sell 'em what they want when they want it I say!

I'm with ya...
So, MBUSA site still shows 2015 GLAs in the configurator, have you seen anything that says when the official 2016 GLA launch is? I had a list of all of the launch months... I'll have to see if I can dig that up.
Awesome man, thanks for sharing images of your ride. If I every find the craving of cancelling my order to take a 450 off a lot I will come back to this thread to remind me why I chose Palladium Silver & Designo Platinum Nappa.
I look forward to the delivery day so I can take her birthday photos.

I'm looking forward to your pics...stay strong!
Our ML is Palladium, so I spent a few weeks going back and forth on color... I wasn't sure if I wanted to have two vehicles with the exact same color. Finally, I decided screw it, I love Palladium - that's what we are going with.

I forgot to mention that I am going to get the leather interior protection applied (hopefully Saturday), I'll let you know how that goes and whether it was a good idea to get it.

Much appreciated, I'm worried about those blue jeans so the protection should help with that right?
Nice!! What is the final MSRP and out the door before tax on this beau?

Thx guys... My motto on this build was "no regretz." I really didn't want to come back and say "I wish I had included this or that..." The final MSRP was $72,955. I think we determined that it was the second most expensive C450 in the country (only to be outdone by someone that had a build with designo paint and carbon fiber mirrors and spoiler). My cost was significantly less (as I was able to get a substantial discount being related to one of the employees).

I have been wearing grey sweatpants so far
The specialist that does the paint and upholstery protection for all of the vehicles at the dealership, says that he really likes the stuff and applies it to his own vehicle. So I am hopeful that it will do the job. I'll get the specifics of the chemicals when I go to have it applied.
