2016 C450
[QUOTE=Vipershade;6597499]How do you even come up with stuff like that? You own an AMG, so automatically you believe that you know everything about the 450? Where would you even get the idea that they are miles apart? Please help us understand your logic.[/QUOTE)

You can't win this argument Viper. Some of the C63 AMG owners are butt hurt because Mercedes opted to use the AMG logo on a car that is not a"true"AMG.Any avid Mercedes owner knows the diff between the 2 cars.If they can't see the value in the C450 thats their problem.

Children. Please clean up this sandpit or we will lock this thread & direct you to the 450 ONLY thread. These arguments are pointless & the differences well documented. The title of this thread is totally appropriate.

Secondly, I don't know what your definition is for fully loaded but fully loaded to me means every option available.

Why are you so salty?
That's a very good deal. I was offered a showroom C400 fully loaded for 45k with 900miles on the ODO fully loaded with everything but airmatic...but the c450 got me sold and i opted to pay 53k after a 5% discount off MSRP

C450
I leased a C450 october 26th. came from an Audi s5 2013. the C450 right now in my opinion kicks the Audi s5 behind in everything. And I though I would be an Audi guy for the rest of my life. Looked at the S7 but needed 5 seats
reasons why i got the 450:
1- fell in love with the exterior and interior of the car
2- Adequate HP for what I use the car for. I live 10 minutes from my house and only long drives I do is when I go to miami beach to eat dinner at a restaurant
3- 2 days earlier leased a GL 450 for the wife due to family size (newborn in august) and didnt want to pay > 1000 for each car.

Unfortunately posters/users here think that every owner of a c450 got it just because it states amg, that's not the reason. I work at a hospital and I park next to 3-4 AMG's and I really know that I dont have an AMG but then again I dont need it. maybe in the future, not right now. Even an owner of an AMG texted me a photo of my car in the parking lot and wrote "very nice car".
I fell in love with the car and that's the reason I got it. Not to be a poser or anything, just because I really liked the car and didnt want to be paying >1200 for each car. So please stop stating we are posers etc because i know for one that Im not one.
thanks and enjoy your car the way Im enjoying mine!

I wonder what it's like living at sea level where the practical advantage of forced induction, other than tunability, is greatly reduced. Glad Mercedes is employing engines like the M276 DELA 30, I think as a drive train it is a great difference splitter comparable to the N55 and TFSI 3.0 from Audi, though I think it's a much better platform due to parallel twin turbo charging.

C450
one month ownership summary: DAMN, AWESOME. the best part of my workday is the drive home to hospital, hospital to home. And I havent even broken the 1000 mile period so i can really test this baby. Hoping to see the OE tune come out and get this thing >410 HP, hopefully. I already got one colleague into looking at one in the dealership.
Another colleague of mine that owns a 328I walked with me to the parking lot and was talking about BMW been much better than MB and how his car was faster than mine then I turned on the car and all he stated was "damn".

Just an FYI, the OE tune claims ~+100whp and +100wtq on a mainline dyno...not sure if you are familiar for how significant that is, and not trying to start a war in this thread but in my opinion, with the 4 matic (mind you, being a daily driver in Michigan, is a life saver), the C450 has the potential to be an absolute animal from a dead stop...hell it may surprise a few of the more expensive cars from 0-120

50 k car with a 1k tune that gets traction in all conditions?

Yes please.

In all seriousness, C63 and C63s are damn sexy, especially with the exhaust note, but in places where the weather varies (sun, rain, sleet, snow, sigh Winter is here)...a tuned AWD machine reigns king for daily driver fun IMO (I'm biased as I had an Evo 9 that made stupid power)

And also IMO the C450 is not a true AMG, but with the above tune and more importantly, traction year round, even the AMG guys would have to give this thing a nod in a straight line...we will see how it performs as time goes on. I mean isn't that why the blokes buy the C63 and C63s? Twin turbo V8s that go stupid fast in a straight line and can take a turn...With the 4 matic and AMG tuned suspension the C450 can take a turn, and with the above tune, it should hold up fairly well on the straight. And please to the AMG guys don't get bent out of shape, I know tunes on those V8s unleash a ton of power too, that is not at all what I am saying...Instead imagine close/similar power in an all wheel drive variant of your car (C450 + tune)...You'd have to admit that sounds quite fun especially in adverse conditions (parking lot snow donuts anyone)

Cheers guys

Do either the regular seats have adjustable side bolsters?

The upgraded seats seem to have it: "In addition to the customary power adjustments, the substantial side bolsters in the cushion and backrest are also power-adjustable for optimal lateral support"

That is exactly how I feel. And the title of this thread is very appropriate. I will never take my car to the track nor am I that good of a driver to get the best of a very high performance AMG. I just want something that is a bit more fun to drive. I wasn't interested in this car because of the name.

To me, an AMG should be a hand build 8 cylinder car, Other than that is marketing ****.
C450 is a good all around car. I like it a lot!
