^ I've also seen a similar reply from an Australian dealer who claimed it wasn't showing up in their database. The TIPS document is probably country/region specific. Has anyone actually seen an English equivalent document?

1/30/2016 build date. Will car have acoustic glass? I am wondering as I am picking a car up in the next week.

My windows don't appear to have the acoustic glass, going by the photos I see here. My build date is May 19, 2016.
I don't hear any unusual wind noise. I wish I could say the same about the tires. The 19" Conti run flats are the noisiest tires I've ever heard. Constant background rumble. Maybe that's why I don't hear the wind noise.

For those in Australia, I spoke to my dealer today about a range of issues I need fixed. Mentioned that I drove a couple of hundred Kms and had excessive wind noise. Service advisor said "Yes, it's an issue. We have to test it by taping some areas and then driving the vehicle. Then we'll order the glass from Germany."

I have checked two loaners (2016 C class) and they have acoustic glass installed in front.
I am driving one of them now waiting for the repair of engine wrist pin and other issues. The wind noise is a bit less than my car, which also had acoustic glass installed but without any other fixes. They found an "updated window felt" based on the TSB and they would install it. Hope it can better improves the sound proof.

Definitely keep us up to date on the outcome because it'll be MB Australia who is paying for the fix if they do end up swapping the glass for you.

That's very interesting because that's contrary to the dealings I've had with my Brisbane outlet where they told me they were not offering the fix in Australia. Someone else I know in Sydney who has a C63S didn't even get the glass either and ended up buying the acoustic glass and fitting it himself.

TBH, my main noise concern is that I can hear people outside the car like there's no glass at all. It's the complete opposite quiet cabin that I'm used to from the W204.

Got acoustic glass installed today. Having the service bulletin number from this forum was very helpful. No arguments from the dealer. It took 2 days to order and receive the glass. I don't yet know if it will make a difference. There was too much traffic on my short ride home to test it. From the service order:

Wind Noise Finally Fixed
Just want to say thanks for posting this....my car was in for another issue but I printed your post and bought it along as I have the same problem. Just got a text from the service advisor...they're going to replace driver/passenger windows with the acoustic glass. I'm just waiting on when it can be done...again thanks as I've been dealing with this issue since I took ownership of the vehicle in Nov 2014.

Wait until it rains... The hiss from the highway at speed penetrates the top door seals massively due to the new acoustic glass. It just stops one sound and makes you tune into new noise elsewhere you couldn't hear before!
