My bro-in-law got exact times on his GTR that the magazines were posting for it at iCar.. And he's now in the 10s!!!
And anyhow, iCar is 15 minutes away instead of 1hr15 to Napierville!
Napierville changed there timing system recently, so they are up to date. ICAR uses the old SAE correction method for their times if I'm not mistaken this is why the traps are higher at their track than other in the greater Montreal area (kinds like what car and driver uses).

Your c400 is definitely a monster with the OE tune. Either way you have a mid to low 12 second car.

Thanks Rob.
It's definitely a sleeper beast!
My wife was driving it the other day with my boys in the car when she encountered an ATS-V with dealer plates....
Boys told her to do what "Dad does", so sport + and ready to go! At a light, she took off on him (thank you 4matic), and they got on the highway together, he pulled up next to her in disbelief and went again, rolling at 80km/h (50mph) and she took off on him again!
When she told me the story, she ended by saying that the ATS-V had a nice sound to it (like our old C63) & we need to make the C400 sound better! That's my girl!

Hey Mike!
I have been thinking of going, and was just hoping to do so with an exhaust and non-runflats..... Would be great if I can get into the 11s!!! Even if it's an 11.999!
Wanted to try that "dyno" mode also to see if it actually does anything....
My bro in-law invited me to an 1/8th mile event but I've never liked the 8th.. Guess I don't see the point! Lol
I'm thinking of starting a progression thread since I ran bone stock, then tune only, and eventually exhaust, etc, etc.
Let's see if my attachment for my 1/4 mile clip works... Don't mind the background music, it's what was playing at the track....

Hey, yes it did work. I actually bought a used VR Tune, the guy owns a tire/wheel shop in Georgia. For what I paid I can sell it tomorrow, but figured let me start there, see how car reacts. I think ultimately Ill wind up with an ECU flash if the gains are really there. He went 12.53 at 116 with the VR Tune in Atlanta. The MPH was impressive. He had a 60' right around 2.00. I believe cajun went 12.6 with the VR piggback.

I am going to try and get the car to ATCO or Island as bunch of buddies do Island near me with hellcats, etc. but ATCO prep is much better. I haven't run a car since my Supercharged C5 Z06, so its been a while, and never an auto

What type of exhaust are you looking at doing, like downpipes and will the car need to be reflashed?

BTW: Not sure if you saw, but in April a C400 went 11.6 at 124 mph (really damn impressive MPH) on dragtimes.com - tune, race gas, downpipes, intake, and weight reduction is what it says. The guy (Lenny Wu) that apparently tuned it from when I googled his names works at Renntech. Would love to know what intake they created/used. Also the driver David Dimitrion - appears to drive for Renntech to show the gains... he has videos on youtube driving 9 second SLR McLarens lol.

And David driving a tuned c300.

Update: Lenny Wu is on FB... I think he worked for Renntech at somepoint but now says Founder/CEO//Owner at LWS Tuning, which is what it says the tune is on the dragtimes post.

Here is his website, I am going to ask him about the intake, and what downpipes he used.

Interesting! I'll have to check it out! That is quick!
I ran the 12.20 at almost 117mph, so the mph on the VR is just about right. My 60foot was 1.976.
Anyhow, I've always been a strong believer in keeping a car streetable while making it quicker/faster. So I'm not into the race fuel, although I'm lucky that we have the 94 octane stuff up here, even though my tune is set at 91 (never know when you travel if the 93 or 94 stuff will be around!)..
Not sure what they did to "lighten" the car.. We used to pull out the spare tire back in the day! Lol... Switching to non-runflats would probably save 5lbs of unsprung weight per corner.. I'm thinking of going with 20s and non-runflats. If they did things like switching out the seats for lighter ones, I could get that, but some guys remove the AC system (streetable, but not pleasant lol!)
I'd have to see for downpipes and if they are worth it... I know OE has a tune for cars equipped for downpipes... I'd have to ask Jeremy about it.
I'm thinking of going with the AWE Track exhaust and will probably install it myself and take step by step pics of the install for my fellow MBF members. It's taking more time than anticipated as I want to go visit the AWE facilities.
Let me know what you run!
BTW; I had a '99 C5

I would be interested to see if the "dyno" mode improves your 60' time.I tried a couple of starts in "dyno" mode and it definitley felt better off the line. If you have even a small amount of wheelspin with just the "anti skid" off,the controls may pull timing which will reduce power & torque. If you can reduce the 60' time .1,you will reduce 1/4 et by .2 sec.

Thanks Oldman!
I'll definitely give it a try...
I just removed the traction control the last time, but like you said, there may be other monitors in play that dyno mode would remove...
