Performance Air Filter For The 2.0L C300 Finally?
Found this today on the web...BMC performance drop-in air filter for the 2.0 L, part #FB838/01
B (mm) 176
A (mm) 276
http://us.bmcairfilters.com/car-filt...1_d1373_5.aspx
BMC is a german brand, but it looks like it can bought at:
EDO Performance, CA
Renntech, FL
Can anyone confirm if this is true? Does BMC make decent air filters?

Be careful messing with the OE filters. All filters are not equal. There is absolutely nothing wrong with genuine Benz filters. They are excellent all round.

EDIT: Remember it takes about 1 heaped teaspoon of dirt to ruin an engine.

Anxiously waiting on burger to release the intake they've been mentioning that they have been working on. Hopefully it happens soon because your right this is the first filter released for the w205 c300 but its not going to do anything performance wise though I'm afraid.

Our stock intake system (2.0)almost sounds like a aftermarket system to me. When I stand on it I can hear the air being forced through unlike any other stock system ive owned before.
On previous sports car I've owned I've always ran aftermarket intakes and modified just about everything I could with the approach of 5 or 10 HP here and there will add up. However none were under warranty. If I was to run one on this car, BMS would be the most trusted IMO.

Yeah I think its way to expensive also at $700 dollars plus these variable versus non variable intakes are to confusing and seem dangerous. I am waiting for AWE Tuning, they have one in research and development stage. I think a K&N filter is a great option. I am excited that they are finally making air intakes for the W205 because that is a mod I have really been waiting on patiently.
