After purchasing my c450 without command I have discovered some features missing that I didn't know only came with command.. I knew I would be getting a smaller screen.. I also knew I would have to get the Garmin nav and backup camera separate.... BUT I just realized that there are other screens available on the command that I didn't know about like the horse power on the center screen.. What other things am I missing that I didn't get the command? Or what other things can command do that the base system without multimedia can do?

The Navigation system is fantastic. But for me, one of the absolute best things is the Voice Command. I can be listening to music and simply touch the voice button on my steering wheel and tell the car to call any contact in my contacts list. There are many many things Voice Command can do. It was worth the price of admission and then some.

What other settings are under the command settings like the horse power screen? Also I know it can store music and media and mine can't.. Although I do have an iPod for music so that's not a problem.. That was a good point about your voice control that mine can't do.. I did not know that.. Anything else you can think of that's different cool features? Can u play movies dvd? I think mine only plays music CDs..?

 

I'm not sure if I can explain the differences completely. I haven't had a MB without Command in a long time. I did have a C 300 in 2010 that didn't have it and I vowed then and there never to do that again. It's just such a comprehensive system that all works together so well.

I'm not sure if this is a command only feature or not, but if have an iPhone connected to the car, and you do a "long press" on the voice command button on the steering wheel, it will promt Siri -- giving you even greater control then the default voice controls built into the car.

 

it's been that a while, at least since 2009 C300 Command days.

 

Is it the same for Android?
And is it Comand systems only?

 

Does anyone know how to get the horsepower and boost Gage's to show on the comand? I can't find it, unless mine doesn't have it. Grrrr

Under car settings, dynamic control

 

Comand Unit is a far better option over the basic Audio 20 system. It is manufactured by Harman and has better processing power and much better display resolution. Audio 20 is really slow compared to the Comand Unit. It is a really expensive option in my country with 4000 Euros and first neglected it. Now I regret it everyday. I am looking for ways to find a unit to make an upgrade and my dealer is not helpful with that. So basically its worth to go for the upgrade with that price.
