Not in every market unfortunately (e.g. Australia). The difference here is that the MB-Tex is a perforated finish (I guess in an effort to keep you posterior cooler) and the leather is a solid finish. Left was a C200 I had on loan (with MB-tex) and the right is my C250D with they AMG grey leather.
No sure where the OP is based but make sure you check with your dealer as to the country specific options and finishes.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. In the US, leather seats come with the Interior Package, which includes some goodies, including ventilated seats.

No ventilated leather seats in Canada, but the leather IMO looks much better than the artico. No idea about wear but I'm only in the car for 39 months so w/e
MB has done an admirable job with the synthetic leather. Honestly, we've had two Audis (2012 A5, 2015 Q7) and their actual leather is less convincing and more stiff and brittle than MBTex.
MB real leather feels great and of course smells great and I personally would not spec a car with MBTex. I feel like you sit on it rather than in it.

I have Ventilated seats and I'm in Canada. It was available on my MY15 Build but mandatory add-on was I had to get the Leather Seats - Can't add ventilated seats to MB-Tex. If this wasn't the case I might've stuck with the MB-Tex and saved the $$ over Leather but now that I have the car I actually prefer to have the extra design/detail of the Leather and the light grey contrast stitching on the seats, doors and dashboard.
My 2003 C-class had Vinyl seats and they are absolutely perfect still - car had a good interior smell as well. The only spot where there is cracking is the driver's bottom seat because of all the entry/exit in the vehicle. I assume it's also because that portion gets the most flex/wearing plus I keep my wallet on that side so extra pressure pushing into it as well
We couldn't even get beige leather (really wanted to) but not possible with sport pkg and beige interior Very stupid - no beige leather allowed but ok to have beige Artico/MB-Tex
Mercedes should allow people to choose beige leather if they are willing to pay for it! Also the black headliner should be option for beige like on other models, very weird how they decide on these things
